It is possible. Until recently, Australian political parties were allowed to take money from companies. (like Election funding in India). But that went too far in Australia, Chinese companies and CCP is interconnected, this has caused many Chinese companies to influence the decision making of Parliament. The ASIO (Aus intelligence) also warned the government of this possible espionage. In many cases, these companies are used as a political tool.

None of these nations are weak. They are here to coordinate not only for military purpose but for trade as well.
and dont forget, Chinese were poorest in whole asia and investment by western companies or by japanese taught chinese to raise their heads.

None sense, western companies and Japan just made up a fraction of their investment in China, the majority of investment came from Oversea Chinese entrepreneurs (Taiwan, Singapore, US....), without them China is probably like Russia. And I guess that none of these countries are willing to teach Indian to raise their heads up until now
