Aug 29/30 Conflict between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladhak.

From reading the Indian media lately, some very sane voices among them, there is now a clear admission that not only the Chinese had intruded but they also hold dozens of sq km of land India claims and that the Chinese have no intention to vacate those areas. Options presented by some of the Indian commentators include :
1) Just resign to the occupation and keep negotiating for the return of the land.
2) Launch operations to grab some Chinese land where the Chinese positions are relatively weaker
3) Work with the Quad group to threaten the Chinese supply lines from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean; in that regard, some even suggested allowing deployment of the Quad forces in the Indian islands in the Indian Ocean.

But looking at what has happened in the last 1-2 days, the Indians are going for #2 and negotiate if India grabs Chinese held land.

At this point, it is extremely important for Pakistan to not accept any 'brokered peace' between India and Pakistan, even if KSA or USA mediate. The least Pakistan should accept is now not even the Restoration of the Article 370 in Kashmir but of a globally guaranteed peace in Kashmir with the deployment of UN and trusted nations' troops in all of Kashmir, including Pakistani part of Kashmir, and allowing freedom of movement of people between all sides. Build on that for an eventual peace.
China did not intrude. The LAC is poorly defined, with both sides have different ideas of where the line actually is. The area is marked by points known as Fingers 1 to 8, arranged from East to West side of the lake. Chinese troops patrol up to Finger 4 from its eastern positions, while Indians go up to Finger 8 from the west. If the patrol from both sides see each other, there is a risk of confrontation. China build permanent structure at Finger 4 in April, preventing Indians from going beyond Finger 4.

So now India is complaining that they "lost" territory from our "aggression" since they can't go up to their claim line anymore.

.
I heard from sources that Indian tanks already reached Beijing and destroyed over 100 Chinese tanks and killed over 1000 Chinese soldiers on the way.
Just saying. Dont critizise me. Its up to others investigate my claims and proof them wrong!

. . . .
Saw a few Indian media sources today including an interview of a former Indian Army Chief General V.P. Malik. Several of those Indian sources are unanimous in saying that Indian troops 'pre-empted' a Chinese move to take up some positions. Really, there was no pre-emption! It was a deliberate and well planned attack to grab some land as a bargaining chip to de-escalate. It remains to be seen if India has actually captured any land or not. It may well be a face-saving measure by India.

According to General Malik, a next aggressive step by any of the party can really get things out of control. He hasn't ruled out the use of artillery and even aircrafts in the next stage. General Malik seems like a level headed person and being the topmost military leader of India until recently he must have some inside knowledge of the events and the Indian strategy. According to him, India should be prepared for an escalation and for a Chinese intrusion anytime, anywhere over the next few days.

To me, the latest skirmish confirms that India wanted to grab some land as bargaining chip; there has been a lot of talk about such a move lately.
