Phir to bhul jayen :D

In addition to power, the availability of trained manpower and a stable political environment are also part of such feasibility studies, among other things.

Hope is good. Hope is great. But the bottom line in Euros will decide.

You know very well that there is a gap for med range cars to be filled........people are taking out 2.5mil out of their pockets for hondas and Toyota, if audi is provided in same range, i dont see why people wont buy those.......also seeing people opting for camry, mark x, accord will have another car to choose from at their disposal

Audi Plant in India has made 11,658 Cars from 2007 to 2015 that means 1457 Vehicles/Year.
In contrast Audi in China has manufactured 56,400 Cars(In 1/2 plants) From the period 2013-2015 that is around 28,200 Vehicles/Year.But the only manufacture the base model A3 whereas the the plant in India also manufactures Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q3, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7. Which are later exported to the neighbouring countries.E.g the Audi Q7 being sold in Pak was manufactured in India.
The good news is when Audi will assemble cars in Pakistan it can then be exported to CAS,Iran,China to Some Extent (all hail CPEC) it will create around 2000 jobs.
Good Days are soon very soon.

:woot: Where are you getting these numbers from! 1457 vehicles/year?

Audi India sold 11,912 cars in 2015 alone, the figure for 2014 was 10,851.

Audi India sold 11,192 units in 2015 as compared to 10,851 units in 2014. The German automaker also had 10 product launches in India last year. Mercedes-Benz India sold 13,502 vehicles, with 32% year-on-year growth, which is their best performance ever. The strategy of 15 new product launches in 2015, christened "15 in 15" really worked for Mercedes-Benz India, helping it reach on top spot after being runner-up in 2013 and 2014.

The Audi India plant currently has a one shift capacity of 14000 cars per year, this I guess can be doubled to 28000 per year if operated in double shifts!

At its lone production facility at Aurangabad, shared with Skoda, the capacity on a one-shift operation is 14,000 units annually. “First, we will go into a double shift. There is scope to expand within that facility. Whether there is going to be another facility or expansion of the current one, I cannot say. But, there will be fresh investment this year, in line with Make in India. It will be done keeping 15 to 20 years in mind,” Joe King, head, Audi India, told Business Standard.

Karachiites prefer mercedes. But I have seen a growing number of Audis on the roads here. some auto dealers have some sort of understanding with the official Audi partner here, and they give a discount of a few thousands of rupees sometimes(I know, not a lot, but still a discount :p: ).
Have some class and go for the Jag :D

How many vehicles a year is Pakistan assembling?

More choice in the local market is a good thing. If Audi can indeed provide the cars at competitive prices, its sales will increase quite a lot.
