The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reduced six assembly seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in new delimitations, ARY News reported on Thursday.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) decided to launch a legal battle against the ECP over new delimitations which reduced six assembly seats in KP.

The JUI-F spokesperson said in a statement that the election commission promoted the sense of deprivation in KP. The JUI-F decided to form a provincial-level legal team to challenge the new delimitations.

The religio-political party announced to start legal battle to restore the KP’s assembly seats. The spokesperson blamed the ECP for creating an uncertain situation in the country.

While expressing reservations, the JUI-F spokesperson said that instead of increasing the assembly seats on the basis of population, the number of constituencies has decreased despite the new digital census.

It added that JUI-F insisted on the organisation of general elections despite having reservations on the 2023 census data but the ECP created an uncertain situation in the country.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued preliminary list of new delimitations on Wednesday ahead of general polls.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also expressed reservations over the new delimitations and formed a legal team to challenge the new delimitations.

The voter quota for the Punjab Assembly will be 429,929, 428,431 for the Sindh Assembly, 355,270 for the KP Assembly and 292,047 for the Balochistan Assembly.

The election commission will address the objections from October 28 to November 26, whereas, the objections could be filed against the delimitations from September 27 to October 26.

population is decreasing in KPK and increasing in Punjab ....lolllllllllllllllllll

population is decreasing in KPK and increasing in Punjab ....lolllllllllllllllllll
Well that's what the new delineation is stating that Pathans aren't having any kids and lahoris are having 10 kids

Don't know why stereotypical Pathans are blamed then

So it's Punjabis behind Pakistan population problem 😊

Also baloch sardars are having 100 kids as their seats doubled

Not sure why balochs always rent about Pathans having too many kids and changing balochs demographics

Best thing is karachi. Apparently nobody lives in Karachi it's ghost 👻 town

are Panjab's seats increasing? If not than why are you bringing us into this ?
A- Many districts of Panjab's saw a decrease in population
B- KPK's reduction in seats was because of a technicality related to FATA not population
"In 2018, the former Federally-Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) was merged with K-P under the 25th Constitutional Amendment and initially 12 National Assembly seats were allocated to the newly merged districts, which had now reduced to six.

The ECP preliminary report said that the seat allocation to the other provinces would remain intact. Accordingly, Punjab will have 141 National Assembly seats; Sindh 51, Balochistan 16 and Islamabad three."

Wrong comparison!

Firstly most of the Pathans are illegally living in Pakistan.

Secondly their kids should have no rights in Pakistan.

All of these illegal Pathans and their kids need to be kicked back into Afghanistan.

Attempt to reduce PTI's power LOL

- Population of lahore district decreased as per census
- panjab Assembly seats are intact, our seats are not increasing nor decreasing

Enough of these loru opinions dude
Punjab seats remained the same because relatively it population went up and KP went down. So punjab retained seats, interior SINDH retained seats and balochistan got seats

Though logically this makes no sense, punjab should have lost seats, interior SINDH should have lost seats and parts of balochistan (except quetta) shouldn't have gained this many seats

Everyone knows that this was all establishment doing..you don't believe it fine but it's pretty obvious

But hey no one is making a fuss so we are all okay with it but we are just saying in the future don't blame Pathan for population growth as Pathans are now OFFICIALLY decreasing in population and it's punjabis who are increasing

Attempt to reduce PTI's power LOL
Apparently we are being told that karachi, KP population is decreasing while interior SINDH and punjab is growing

What a weird co incidence lol

Atleast it settle the stereotype that Pathans have 10 kids, they dont per this census it's in punjab

I think noon League fudged census figures so that seats dont decrease. In 2017 census punjab growth rate was 2.13 which increased to over 2.5 in 2023.Is this increase natural or artificial.

Apparently punjab is fastest growing population while KP and karachi population are decreasing

So it's unfair to stereotype Pathans for having too many kids

Burger families in Punjab are having all the kids
