Bangladesh constitution remains secular because it is a reflection of the ethical values Bangladeshis hold dear - which are friendship to all, animosity towards none as well as equal treatment and non-discrimination toward all religions.

It is a beacon of hope for harmony and coexistence among diverse religions and an example of how a civil society should be run (using simple respect for others) compared to the lawlessness and rampant societal and religious discrimination in most of the rest of the subcontinent where societies are torn asunder by ethnic and religious fascism.

We just don't say so ourselves. The rest of the world says so too.

The subject of this thread is a rare occurrence - extremely rare and may not be even connected to anything other than petty politics.
