Canada is not completely Capitlistsic. For your information it is has a mixed system. Both Socialism and Capitalism. We have a lot of differences between the U.S, it just something you are not aware of and i don't blame you.

Free Health Care
No gun laws
Funding from Govt if you are unemployed
Free Housing if you are poor
Income Tax returns
Less privatization. i.e real estate markets, banks, schools, Universities.
All kinds of political parties. Our second biggest party right now are Socialists

I am not qualified to judge Capitalism, Socialism or Communism. Infact they are good in perspective. I will give an example of India, We have socio-capitalistic economics. We took good of both and tried to eliminate bad of both.

Wars are based on greed, greed to get money (Capitalists) Gred to increase head count (Communists and Theologists). You must not forget Africa, which is battleground for Islam and Cristianity. Both want to increase there head count there.

Same applied to Soviet bloc and NATO, both wanted to increase there influence. Greed to influence more countries.

Healthcare in Canada is 0% privatized? Search the private healthcare for citizens for Canada. Every country has certain number of Government controlled Hospitals. That doesn't make the country socialist or capitalist.

Gun laws? You haven't heard of any private arms and defense equipment manufacturer from Canada? Search this forum for defense companies from Canada.

Again this doesn't define Capitalism. The definition you mentioned above is correct and anyone can google capitalism. It is how the whole system works that defines capitalism.

There are few clinics that are private. But the "HEALTH CARE" we get from the government is absolutely FREE. The government pays the doctors. Rather than a person paying the doctors, the government pays them their salaries. Got that? its a mixed system, both socialism and capitalism. The doctor who owns the clinic gets commission from govt, and people who need treatment, get it for free. I'm becoming a doctor currently and so you don't really wanna mess with me.
When i say 0%, i mean 0% of doctors who get paid by civilians and give free treatment. That is the health care system. Read the middle word again...

Common sense ends there where you stop free thinking. Where radical though comes. There was a age called dark ages for science. It was before Renascence, Church was not allowing the open thinkers and they were prosecuted.

So for common sense we need to have open thinking.

I do not know about Europe in the Dark Ages. But certainly, The Renaissance gave birth to an entirely new age. In fact without it, we'd still be living in tents and caves.

Prophet Muhammad did encourage search for knowledge. Even if Muslims have to go to China. Actually during the Golden Age of Islam, they did posses vast libraries of many works by many scholars both home and abroad.

They were all destroyed by the marauding Mongols, and much knowledge was lost there. Ironically, many of the Mongol invaders converted to Islam

Obviously, it would seem today that most Muslim-majority countries haven't progressed much. It is not necessarily because of religion. It is just that Muslim leaders historically made some really, really poor decisions. That, and coupled with Western Colonialism.
