Let the experts survey and investigate the crime scene first. It is entirely possible that IK was a victim of friendly fire as Guards can also panic in these situations. Even if there were 2 shoorters, where are the videos? There must have been a 1000 cameras in that small space and atleast 1 of the cameras should have caught a 2nd shooter. As for the coverup, is it also not possible that the statement was released to calm down public sentiment and to give IK a message that there was nothing more to it than the act of a single madman?? Besides, the shooter is in the custody of Punjab Police which is under IK's Government so they can find out the truth quite easily.
FIR's cannot be registered on whims and wishes alone, right? There has to be substance, and amongst the nominated accused are the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister of the country. This is a classic matter of guilty until proven innocent and is simply insane.
As for the interview, this is how interviews are conducted; ever witness an interview of potential suicide bombers of failed suicide bombers? It is also in such relaxed atmosphere because this is not supposed to be an interrogation, it is simple Q&A. The interrogation will come later on and I am sure IK's team in Punjab will have all the time in the world to uncover the truth; whether they accept and admit it is a different matter altogether.
That's not the entire premise of my logic here; logically, a task this big would have been planned and executed impeccably with not 1 or 2 but a dozen or more shooters, some with large caliber weapons, along with distractions to deter the crowd such as a small blast or something simply to trigger panic. Most importantly, the boys are quite experienced with judicial disqualifications which are easier, bloodless and justifiable.
The Government says it is an individual act because 1) There is no evidence whatsoever of a 2nd shooter as of yet and 2) because the arrested shooter has confessed to be working alone. Now it is up to the Government on the ground at the crime scene, that is the Punjab Government, to dig the truth and the facts. But till such time, stop creating stories and fiction.
Has Imran Khan given the agencies an opportunity to investigate the case and the possibility of involvement of India, Afghanistan or any other individual/group/country before blaming 3 individuals? And ironically, he says these 3 are different from the 4 he has named on a video tape.....this also means that in the event that IK had been killed in this attack, the other 4 individuals would have been blamed instead of these 3 who are now blamed. WTF???? Is this not INSANITY?
