I do not accept any religion that oppresses women. These are typically monotheistic religions that refer to god as He. That is sexist. Women in Saudi Arabia have to wear full burqa, cannot leave home without husband's consent, cannot drive.
Burqa is a Farsi word and was never and is not warn in the Arab world but in Afghanistan and nearby regions. The most conservative dress in KSA and the Arab world is the niqab and it is not compulsory in KSA and there are no laws that regulate its use. Moreover out of the 225 million Arab women or so, I would bet that less than 15% wear it. Not that there is anything wrong with it as long as it is a personal choice which it is for most.

A hijab is sufficient. If you had ever visited KSA, in particular Hijaz where the majority of the population live, you would have witnessed this on your own.
Yes, women can freely leave their house whenever they please, lol. It's only when they travel abroad that they need a male mahram however many travel without a mahram. It depends on what the family allows. One thing are laws as written on a paper another thing is how they are implemented in reality.
The ban on women driving is 25 years old (before 1990 women could drive freely) and is based on a fatwa from the late Ibn Baz in 1991. Or 1990 if I recall. It's neither an actual law. Driving schools simply refuse to issue licenses to women but de facto plenty of Saudi Arabian women drive in the countryside.
Most importantly neither of those "laws" have anything to do with Islam but rather a nonsense recent interpretation that a few select former and current powerful clerics in KSA can be blamed for. Likewise the situation is similar on this front whenever we discuss moronic laws in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan or numerous other Muslim countries.
Lastly I don't think that too many users here care about what you believe in or not. That goes for everyone here. Neither is anyone here forcing you to believe in any religion. However your trolling is tiring.
Man, have you ever studied the religion of Islam ? mention one place in Quran/hadith where Allah swt or prophet Muhammad saws have said about oppressing women ???
Islams dont undermine women, it's the local culture of the muslim countries who do it....
- Prophet Muhammad saws was born in a house without any man (his father died before his birth)
- First human being converting to Islam was Prophet Muhammad saws first wife, Hazrat Khadija.
- Prophet Muhammad saws dearest child was his youngest daughter Fatima.
- And the day He left us, it was on lap of his wife, Aishah.
When the status of women in our Prophet Muhammad saws is so high, how can you say this !
What he told in that post has nothing to do with "culture" let alone Arab culture which is on many fronts extremely diverse. See my post. Otherwise I am a in agreement. Islam as a religion and movement, including the rights it gave to women, was well ahead of its time. Non-Muslim historians can attest to that being the case and have done so for a long time. The problem is the lack of reformation in Islam which is what is needed. A reformation that allows it to develop alongside the modern world on certain fronts. However all the core beliefs are IMO eternal until we solve some of humanities greatest questions. Questions that we can simply not answer today and maybe never will.
