First of all Ultroll, change your flags. You are not a Syrian. Secondly Arab presence in Syria predates the foundation of the Roman Empire and Byzantine Empire by over 800 years and 1100 years respectively. Even the foundation of Rome - the city.

Nor did the local and native Semitic/Arab population of Syria change during Roman and Byzantine "rule". Local rulers allied to those empires ruled their native lands.

Numerous Roman and Byzantine Emperors were of a Semitic/Arab descent even.

The Roman Empire ruled Northern Hijaz as well. So what? The locals remained the same. Same with all other areas of the Arab world. Of course migration took place but it took place both ways and did so millennia before as well. From as far back as Neolithic times.
That's why Arabs and Southern Europeans cluster on DNA tests.

Arabs created 3 of the 11 largest empires in history, more than any other ethnicity in the top 15. Created bigger empires than any ME/Muslim people did in pre-Islamic and Islamic times. Ruled the MENA region for almost 1000 years. The Arab world, almost the size of Russia, located on 2 continents, is a legacy of that. In fact the reason why Europe adopted Christianity (a Semitic religion likewise) was due to a few Jewish converts to Christianity and Arab/Assyrian Christians. Those 3 people were the first Christian people. Their teachings spread Christianity to nearby Southern Europe and the rest is history.

Nor will anyone leave Islam in Syria. Islam has had a presence in Syria since the time of Prophet Muhammad (saws) and has been present for the past 1400 years. Likewise 90% of the Syrian population is Arab. Whether Muslim or Christian is irrelevant.
