he didnt say himself prophet but instead he said Hazrat Qaid e Azam alaihi sallam

and also said Barsi ka din hai. than somebody from back correct him then he said paidaish ka din hai

Alaihi Sallam is also used with many religious people, it means Peace be Upon him. Again, not calling him a Prophet.

He did not call Quid Prophet directly, but misconception is because he used "alaihi sallam" which is normally used for Prophets. Rehmatulla Alihay is normally used for scholars, saints, Quid, Iqbal etc. I do not know if there is specific rule or its just generally accepted and practiced.
