How did "Indian Army" become one of the "Military Professionals" ?

Honestly speaking, he can't even put a simple sentence together.

If making sense while typing in English in this forum was the only criterion, 50% of the members would be disqualified.

If you want to see incredible contributions to English literature by some so called senior members, just PM me and I'll send you some links.

Take care!

Major delivery from Indian side was Radar...which never worked, broke many times a day..when Tamil ammo loaded cessna rotary engine zoom inn undetected and create a havoc ...

u do know that cessna s are very small aircraft and generally not used for such purposes as air attacks. it would probably have the smallest radar signature and more imp, even if someone saw it, they wouldnt believe it was coming for an "air" attack..

Those Reports were Denied by the Sri Lankan Officials, While India Equipped them with Four 2D Radars, China supplied them with 3D radar, INDIRA II Being a 2D radar gives distance and direction whilst 3-D radar Of China would provide the height or altitude in the case of aircraft.... SLAF Installed 2D radars In Wanni in Vavuniya Where the Threat Level Was Little and 3D Radars were Equipped In the Main Battle filed Area but the Threat Assumption Proved to be Wrong and Opened Up as Northern Theater In the Elam War, And It was Supposed to be Obvious to Interlink The Distance and Direction with Hight Or Altitude which Caused a Major Mishap.... Not the Radar...Although Indira II Radars Are Good at Capturing Low Flying Objects with High range resolution and ECCM capabilities

He didn't opted for it himself. Management must have decided and offered it to him. But since this is a case of Indian so your hate filled mind will never understand that...

The Hindu : International : Sri Lanka denies radar system was deficient

Sri Lanka itself claimed that the Radar had detected the aircraft well ahead of time.

And for Indian support.

Lanka Times Sri Lankan News as it Happens

The SLN has three OPVs: Sayura, a 1,890 ton Sukanya-class vessel that was transferred from India and recommissioned on 9 December 2000; amudura (ex-USS Courageous), a 1,129 ton helicopter-capable Reliance-class OPV that was transferred from the US Coast Guard on 24 June 2004; and the ageing Jayasagara, a 330 ton OPV built at Colombo Dockyard and commissioned on 9 December 1983. Additional weapons carried included 81 mm mortars, 107 rockets and 105 mm guns.

The Sukanya class OPV are one of the heaviest ships in the SLN.

And the Marcos trained the SLN personnel for counter-insurgency in high seas.

In the future Sri Lanka will buy weapons & other military products from China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Israel & Ukraine.

I think Sri Lanka is the only South Asian country that maintains military corporation with
all (China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Israel & Ukraine)

Sri Lanka Obviously needs frigates and corvettes to protect and police the sea lanes. Being an Island nation it is very important for them to concentrate of strengthening the sea borders. a few AIP subs and a few Frigates and corvettes along with maritime aircraft might come in handy for them.

i would say sri lanka's sea lanes are plenty safe for now, it is not currently worried about naval treats from anyone, grow their economy first while the environment is safe, for now all they need is some patrol boats
