The underlying message of the article is that numerous fault lines exist in Asia and numerous wars have been fought between Asian nations in the last 50 years. But if we want Asia to prosper, the major powers in Asia have to avoid military conflict at all costs. The assumption is that while Europe has learnt from its mistakes, Asia has not. To a large extent this is true. Also true is the fact that while, many of these wars have come about due to local imbalances and disputes, they have been accentuated by super power rivalry where proxies have been made to fight each other. Since the collapse of the USSR, it has been primarily the USA and the NATO who have fought wars in Asia. Be it in Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya. We have to put a stop to this western unilateralism. Asia has to find the solutions to its problems within the continent. We need string regional security organisations to mediate and stop conflicts from happening. We need to empower the SCO and the ASEAN. If we are to permit our people to benefit from the fruits of economic growth, we have to stop fighting with each other.

And who said India is not aligned to China ? India and China at the highest level understand the sensitivities of each other. It is not recognised in the media circles but that is a fact.

Well ofcourse they understand, but that does not mean they are playing ball, or does it.

The article is idiotic. India is not an ally of China.

India is an inferior country to China. You name it, Education, military, technology, economy. China is always better and 10 steps of not a 100 steps ahead of India.

Pakistan is inferior country to India.on all the counts that you mentioned about India is 100 steps ahead of Pakistan !!!!

This is the reason why i said stop flaming and trolling , any ways you dont seem to understand !

Interesting part is that despite whatever problems Pakistan is facing, Pakistan still has less Poverty and problems than India according to World Bank, UNICEF.

Pakistan still has a growing GDP, despite the War on Terrorism.

Despite whatever the problems come, America and China are competing in Pakistan, despite the fact we all know China has won.

However India is in a civil war.

What about the Telangana chaos?

Pakistan has friends like China. India has nobody but itself.

Pakistan is a 100 steps ahead of India in most aspects.

What about prostitution in India? Prostitution is rampant in India.

India has the third largest population living with HIV/AIDS.

Did you see the Born into Brothels documentary, about poor kids in Kolkata how they are the illegitimate children.

In Pakistan and China prostitution is illegal. Why is prostitution legal in India?

I thought India was a more conservative country than China. China has higher moral standards.

Dear Kid ,

This thread has nothing regarding Pakistan , it is regarding China-India-Japan Strategic Triangle so request you to troll and flame in some other threads ...

Not in hell we're not. You said that right.

But why are you using Chinese shoulders to fire your weapon on us? Apprehensive that you'd not measure up a tenth alone? :azn:

Another BS article by "Brahma Chellaney".

He got one thing right though. The current Hu-Wen administration, the one that embraces the Peaceful Development concept... they are leaving in 2012.

If Indians are already freaking out over the peaceful Hu-Wen administration, I have no idea how they will handle the next, more assertive Chinese leadership.

.
It is pointless to discuss writings by the likes of Chellaney and Varma. To put it charitably, it is an exercise in futility.
