Asad Umar vexed by bureaucrats’ lack of preparation

This is why bureaucrats are educated. These people should be charged with treason on the account of mismanagement of state resources.

We need a university that educateds teens on bureaucracy from the age of 18. A degree from that university should be mandatory to become a bureaucrat. The university should have different faculties like the faculty of economic bureaucracy. etc

problem is not education.
The problem is that we are not oppen for buisness. Our society does not allow free buissness to fourish.
So, no buisness means no jobs so people then go to government for jobs which casuss bloated and inneficent beurocracy.
It's a vicious cycle.
Reduce beurocracy to 10% and allow buissiness to fourish. We will become a developed country in 30 years.

It all boils down to education. Proper education changes mindsets. Work is out there if you look for it, our people are lazy. They want everything on a silver platter.

Jis tareeky se yeh bherti hotay hain, or jis tareeky se job kertay hain, yeh ghaneemat hai. Her chez apni driving force se quality paati hai. Establishment ko tu koi drive hi nai kerraha. Halat or bhi kharab hotay jain gy jaisy jaisy brain drain berhta jaeyga.

Jiaaay Bhutttttttooooooo.......

Education and lethargy can be blamed yo an extent but its mainly the apathy and the chill attitude that these people have towards their work.
I have seen highly educated bureaucrats utilizing their knowledge and experience just to delay things as it will make them do more work in the future. They just act as a filter and use their brains so as to prove that they know stuff and knkw their job. They are experts in finding faults in any file, project or proposal put to them but are incapable or not willing to give you solutions. They will never yield to reasoning or accept any modus operandi / solution other than what they have in their mind. The very few that do work are mocked, made fun off, loaded with work and when some work done by them gets stuck or brings the department in negative lime light then this minority is bashed, insulted and humiliated constantly and unrelentingly. Hence over time majority of these few people give into pressure.
Unfortunately in 90% of the cases you can not bypass these individuals, they can not be removed either as they are either shielded by individuals with similar agendas and interests, have strong connections, unions or are political appointments. In short they have no fear to being held accountable.
So most of the common people sccumb to pressure and turn to coaxing, pleading and buttering these people making them more pompous, glorified, bloated with gas and ultimately over time they become a pharoah.
It is the above that we are up against. These people are like a pack of hyenas who habe spread like an epedemic and that need to be taken down in each and every office. It won't be done in one tenure and wont be possible without gud management at top who have proper laws supporting them

Death for corruption - there is no other better way to stop the mafia. Start hanging the corrupt.

Only in Pakistan a bureaucrat could be working in Water and Power for a few years and then get transferred to Oil and Gas. Seems like the concept of specialization and relevant skills are lost on Pakistani governments.
No different than the military. They're all products of the same shit show. An urban cop becoming the head of ISI to a rank amateur in strategic communications trying to dally in "public relations" at ISPR for a few years. Change posts without an iota of competence or expertise. Rinse, repeat, retire.

As for Asad Umar: ab bhugto. He was merrily shilling for SOEs like PIA just a few months back and about how it's a wonderful idea in the government turning them around instead of the private sector (or along commercial/private lines).
