As Biden pulls out of Afghanistan, what’s his plan for Pakistan? It harbors terrorists, too | Opinion

Just remember one thing very clearly. This mistrust isn't going anywhere. It is easy to destroy a relationship. Getting it back on rails is always difficult. Especially when it has been as treacherous and ugly as ours.

As long as the US continues to prop up India in Afghanistan there cannot be any trust nor meaningful relationship.
That's exactly what the US is gonna do. If things get worse as far as US-Pak reltions go it's gonna be bad for oversees Pakistanis in the US, it's arab ally states and most of the western world. Maybe if they get really worse the US will recognize Indias claims.

As far as I know. Pakistan does have a few allies, but it is in the crossroads and in the crosshairs and if there is a conflict in that region. I can garuentee that nobody will care about civilians which sucks, but will most likely happen.

Oh well I didn't bother to read the proper title, because it doesn't change the nature of what they wrote i.e. it's utter $hit, although it might be informative for you.
As for the web ranking, yes it goes up and down. Why do you always mention this? The bulk of our viewership couldn't give a hoot what these two say about what is soon becoming a forgetful war.

Nonetheless, you have chosen to let a deliberate violation of PDF rules go because it agrees with your personal views. Just sayin'.
And the bulk of the viewership is not as bulky as it once used to be. Just sayin'.

On topic, we may all deride the opinion expressed in the OP, but the real audience and fight for perception is abroad, and here Pakistan is definitely not winning. That is the only reason I point out what I point out.

Who said I’ve let it go? I’ll correct it as do numerous other sources, yes even those that I don’t agree with (ask the Indians).

The bulk of the viewership is still here, and that’s a fact, which is a tough one for your to swallow.

I agree with the fight for perception abroad but that also depends on which part of the world you refer to. It may come as news to you that outside the US and the West, and a sprinkling of a few allies, not many people care for what US neocon writers think.

There will always be a vigorous discussion about Pakistan with all sorts of views expressed, but the key is whether it translates into any substantive policy actions by the US government. After all, even the OP points out:

"we, at least, are proposing a “plan” to neutralize anti-West terror development there (Afghanistan) .... .... But the administration has no such plan for Afghanistan’s neighbor, Pakistan."

Obviously, no such plan is there because it is not needed. Need anything else be said?

Thank you for upholding PDF rules as they should be upheld. Just when I am thinking of giving up, some things give me hope, both for PDF and for Pakistan.

Try as certain sections of the media might to paint Pakistan as a safe haven for terrorists, they continue to fail. The two weakest points for Pakistan remain OBL and DR. Afridi's detention, but it seems that Pakistan's stance on both is slowly winning the day.

I don't think you have the balls to do any of this. Even if you did it is still very minor compared to what Pakistan can do to US interests in the region. We have already seen how fragile the US is. Yet again, the US is pleading Pakistan for assistance. Isn't the US the same country whose military generals and politicians openly bragged about ditching Pakistan? You don't openly in broad daylight plead for military bases if you are in total control. You have major weak spots. You depend on others for military and geopolitical success. That is a weakness.

When push comes to shove, Pakistan has a strong regional alliance in place. This alliance will get only stronger since Pakistan won't have any distractions. The US has always been a major distraction and nuisance for Pakistani regional ambitions. Once this nuisance is removed Pakistan will fully focus on its regional development. China, Russia, Iran among others are already at cahoots with the US. You don't want Pakistan to join this list on a full time basis. Your interests in this region will become next to zero.

LOL You have already given up, Hussain Haqqani. All there is left for you to do now is to check topics on PDF and correct the titles you don't like.

Look around you. You are on the losing side. We know why the US is literally begging each country in the neighborhood. Yet, it is being shunned by everyone. Not one country is willing to accept US soldiers on its soil. That is humiliation of epic proportions.

Pakistan doesn't need any advice from Hussain Haqqani.

but for 20 years you were our bitch. where were your balls then? infact what about your balls when you had to come to IMF recently,

US is the only power that can fight wars outside of its border and for it you do need bases. and hate to be bearer of bad news but the fact that your COAS isnt acknowledging/denying means a deal is already struck. history is repeating itself again 10 years ago your government lied to you until it was leaked out that we were using your bases

The fact that we have access to your airspace to launch attacks in afghanistan more or less implies a deal on the bases were struck

"Furore over speculation Islamabad may have secretly agreed to lease an airbase to Washington comes after American jets used Pakistani airspace to bomb Taliban forces"

If we were your bitch why the accusations for double cross? Isn't a bitch supposed to be completely obedient? Make up your mind captain America. It is one or the other. You can't have it both ways.

It is your almighty military who begged Trump to re-establish military to military relations. Even when Trump cut off all military to military ties. Who is the beggar? Who is desperate?

So you say. Who can hide the deal if it really has been struck? We will all find out when the Americans strike the Taliban and use Pakistani air space, right? Let's wait for that moment which won't come. Your media and your leaders are openly begging and questioning Pakistani leadership. You already know why. Your American leadership has been told to fvck off. Keep dreaming through.

You can't do shit. Bajwa and Imran Khan aren't Musharraf. You had your moment and even then you blew it. For 20 years you bled and spent billions for nothing. In the meanwhile China took off like a rocket and look at them today. LOL You have to quit Afghanistan to focus on China. Today, you are back to square one. Still the same old Uncle Sam crawling back to Pakistan to ask for favors.

Who could have predicted such an end to Afghan quagmire? Remember how the US/NATO ganged up against Pakistan 20 years ago? Pakistan has been through hell with US/NATO commanders giving end dates for Pakistan's existence. Afghan and Indian terrorists wreaked havoc in Pakistan. US/NATO stood there cheerleading both India and Afghanistan against Pakistan. We also won't forget Salala. Our armed forces stood steadfast and stuck to their tasks despite all challanges. Today we can reap the benefits if we play it smart and let China in.

those 20 years are a blessing for Pakistan if it wasn't for those years Pakistani General still be drinking Sattu and napping under a neem tree telling each other about their stories of training days in the US and how US is such a good friend.

thats the defintion of a bitch.... a loyal female dog. nope. and when the bitch is not loyal its double crossing

not the militar,y trump as civilant leader did because thats the campaign he ran otherwise why would the military still be trying to get a base. thats the whole thing he had left to score points after debauching his entire presidency

My personal opinion is US should've pulled out of afghanistan the moment OBL was killed. the whole idea of trying to change governments, bring democracy is nonsense. every region, every ethnicity has thier own way of governing and the one they are comfortable with. and history is evident that afghanistan is a place that Alexander the great couldnt have conquered

We are still doing shit otherwise why would we have access to your airspace. your vulnerability was extremely apparent when you went to china, arabs to rescue your economy but noone helped as much as they should and you ultimately had to come back to the 1 place who is now dictating your governments policies.

because of those 20 years, china got a huge breathing room to grow. and i hope your government should deny the base so US doesnt get distracted and can effectively began its strategy on china

People in the government definitly take notice of these things.

Learn the difference fool. According to your own admission we exploited you. Took money from you and didn't deliver LOL That is not a definition of a bitch, but a shrewd and cunning nation.

Too little too late. Crying over spilt milk has no use. You did what you did and you are paying in full. Like I said, for every choice you make there are consequences. Your armed forces got greedy and made money from narcotics in Afghanistan. Your leaders sent unemployed crazy rednecks to the frontline as cannon fodder. They didn't send their children I can assure you. Who gave their lives in the battle? You got fooled not once, but for a full 20 years. The American people were made to believe that the war in Afghanistan was winnable LOL It never was and it never will be.

No, its not fool. you think the US military is so stupid to not get that or thye just wanted a rhetoric form so you can keep bending the more we ask. which is why you kept bending around and did it again just recently

shrewed cunning nations, dont lie to their own people, get bossed around, approve drone strikes on thweir own soil by a foreign government, and neither need IMF to run their ocuntry

how would a person be unemployed if he is EMPLOYED by the military?

you live in denial just crippling to find out a way to justify all of it. if US hadnt planned to get out you would be saying right now "why doesnt the US get out" and now we are then you find any other rhetoric to jsutify

Don't compare the past with present fool. Like I said, Musharraf is past tense. Bajwa and Imran Khan have already told your leadership that NO means NO. Stop making a fool out of yourself and also stop begging. You have been rejected by all neighbouring countries LOL

Your media begs. You leaders beg. Now you are begging. Stop it. Have some mercy on yourself.
