1. There's no word called "Aryan" in sanskrit.
2. It's 'Arya', meaning sir.
3. In the southern Indian languages the word is "Ayya".
4. The word caught european imagination and rest is History. white supremacists, and even Iranians claiming "Aryan" ancestry. ANd whole new group of languages called Indo-Aryan as opposed to "Iranian-Aryans" dardic etc.,

there's so many myths surronding this whole thing but to make it clear. even today, In most Indian languages, letters start with Ayya/Arya.
other usages include Aryaputra, meaning someone of noble birth, Aryavrata , places where aryas dwell, Aryasamaj, society of Arya, meaning noble enlightened people. There is not caste named Arya (yes, of all 6000 castes there are).

Bro, in ancient India it had many connotations. The Buddhist teachings the "four noble truths" literally means catvari arya satyani in sanskrit.

And Buddhism disowned the caste system.
