What's new

Arsenal FC fans ?

emo_girl - let us talk again at the end of this season - I'm sure Manure are finished this year !
arsenal_gooner - Gallas is ex-Chelsea - he will be extra motivated for this match. Btw interesting to see how Ashley cole (ex-Arsenal) will be treated - he is booed badly at the Emirates - we even had people throwing coins at him (he went to Chelsea to get a higher salary)

Oh man, it's loserville here. You have all got it wrong.

Chelsea Champs.

What do you do, stifle our offence or try to penetrate our defence? We go to war with both the sword and the shield.

Such a looser club.. bought all the best players in the world and still if they want a cup they have to steal it

Arsenal Rocks because they make players rather than buy!

Haha. You can make players, we'll take the 3-0 scoreline anyday. Also, it is a misconception that Chelsea buys wins. Chelsea wins because they play a system. They get the best people to fit into that system, which is why most people who come to Chelsea excel here more than anywhere else. There are a few exceptions, of course, which only proves further that we play a system, not through individual talents.

Chelsea of 2009 is not Real Madrid of 2006/07.

Says a ManU fan. We're five points clear of you in the League, and we beat you in the only match we've played this year so far. So, if we're "losers", what does that make you?

There's a saying we have among the University of Toronto soccer enthusiasts: "Those who don't know soccer support Man U". Every Tom, Dick and Harry is an MU supporter here, because jumping on the bandwagon is very easy. Half of them couldn't name the coach.

There are lot of people like shevchenko, ballack, deco, and the list goes on who have failed after signing chelsea contract.
which system you are talking about in chelsea. Only system is Roman Abramovich. Until now he is playing with players and managers at his club. Chelsea invested lot of money and still they haven't got any near to the europe's best until now. Compared to chelsea arsenal had a very good youth system and passing style of play.

Lol. Let's stop fighting, it is the "beautiful game" after all. I'll share a story with you:

One of my friends is a Man U fan (no surprise, he hardly knows the rules of the game), and another one is a huge Barcelona fan (respectable). We try to watch all the major Champions League matches at a students' center known as Hart House, where there is a large screen and a great atmosphere for most games. Generally, around the time the Semi Finals and Finals roll around, we have exams, so it's difficult to find time. But, for any major games, before which there is generally a lot of sh*t-talking, we make time.

So, last year, when it was clear that Barca and Chelsea would face each other in the Champions League Semi-finals, I told both of them that the only team left in the League that could supress Barcelona's offensive powerhouse was Chelsea's steel-defense. Neither one of them bought it (obviously), as they both thought their teams' were good enough to rip through Chelsea. Arsenal was there in the semi-finals as well, but nobody in their right minds would have picked them to beat any of the 3 other teams. Sure enough, the semi-finals came and went, and in two matches, Barcelona could only manage to score once against Chelsea. That too after 180 minutes of frustrating football, and that too by a freak goal from outside the box which would not have troubled the goalie 9 times out of 10. Unfortunately, it was an away goal, which trumped Chelsea's home-goal, hence Barca went through to the final. I was disappointed to say the least, but I knew that Chelsea had lost to the Champions, because there was no way Man U's defense could match Chelsea's feat against Barca's firing squad.

The day of the Champs League final rolled around, and both my friends were quite chirpy since it was Barca vs Man U. I sat there, quietly supporting Barcelona, but I daren't let that be known for fear of being known as a traitor. I asked for predictions; the Man U fan said "1-0 for Man U" and the Barca fan said "2-1 Barca". I predicted a scoreline of 3-0 for Barca, and at the end of the match, we were all off by one goal. My original prediction that Barcelona's offense will make Man U's defense look like school-children was the only accurate prediction of the day, a fact that I made sure was embedded in my friends' brains for at least a year.

But you know what? I realize now that it doesn't matter who won, because I had such a good time just hanging out and watching the matches with friends. That's what the game is all about anyway, a few years down the road I won't remember who was in the semi finals, but I will remember all the sh*t talk and the back-and-forths and the phone calls and the boasting and what not. One of the two friends (the Man U fan) has already gone back to Pakistan forever, and the other will soon be finishing his final year soon. I'll miss the good times.

Now, I'd like to hear any interesting football stories you guy shave.

Arsenal 0 Chelsea 3

Arsenal 0 Man City 3

What a bunch of sore losers arsenal are........the manager would not even shake hands with the man city manager after the game and then came out with another classic sore loser quote.

"Wenger replied: "I think I have nothing to say. I am free to shake hands with whom I want after the game."

When it was suggested to Wenger in the post-match news conference that a handshake was 'professional courtesy', the 60-year-old replied sarcastically: "I have no professional courtesy."

Sad losers!
