ECP to provide Imran’s nomination papers to Arsalan

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to provide a copy of the nomination papers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to Arsalan Iftikhar.

Copies of the nomination papers will be provided to the son of the former Chief Justice of Pakistan in a day or two after all requirements have been met.

On Monday, Arsalan Iftikhar alleged that Imran Khan was not eligible to contest polls and moved the ECP for obtaining a copy of his nomination papers. Speaking to the media Arsalan alleged that Imran Khan had not made correct and true declaration about details of his children in the nomination papers.

Arsalan claimed that by withholding the name of one of his children in the nomination papers, Imran Khan had violated Article 62 of the constitution and should be disqualified as a member of parliament.

Zilch, the case was filed in past and was dismissed by SC and ECP. Only ECP / SC can reopen the case now, or at minimum a sitting MNA can lodge a file to Speaker national assembly who then can proceed the case to ECP / SC for final verdict (MNA can only raise issue in front of Speaker NA, if speaker thinks the case has potential, only then he can ask ECP / SC to ledge a reference).

The case was first filed by Sher Afgan Niazi in 2007 - 08 and was dismissed by SC after several hearings. Then Hanif Abbasi again lodged the case in ECP in 2013 just before elections, and it was dismissed again without single hearing because we already had a verdict on this case from SC on this. I don't see anything has changed after that till date, so even if the case is successfully lodged, it will be dismissed again.

In this case, Arsalan Iftikhar doens't fulfill this basic requirement, as he's no MNA. So all this is drama to divert attention from Model Town incident and defame IK ahead of PTI's long march next month. Expect more to come against IK in coming days. It only shows the desperation and fear from Govt's part.

We needs to see what IK really declares in his nomination Papers in the first place

If IK didn't recognize (As it seems) his third child (already in protective custody of Jemima), than he has to face not only legal repercautions but social as well........so who so ever brought up this idea of checking of nomination papers is real genius.

1. Army introduces sectarianism to Pakistan and hands it over to Nawaz & Co. (Nay sayers who say that it was "only till late 80's", "it was only one DECADE", a note for you guys, give me 1 year free run to destroy a nation, it can be done in 2 months)
2. Nawaz League props up more such terrorist organizations in Punjab to roost and wreak havoc across rest of the provinces.
3. Judicial system is corrupted through out the 90's and early 2000's by the Armed Forces as an extension to wield power over political organizations.
4. Corrupted judiciary feels neglected by the Army and flips sides in early 2000's.
5. Early 2000's, conversion of Punjab Police into a dedicated terrorist organization is complete. Now under complete command of Nawaz's brother / Sarparast-e-LeJ/Sipah-e-Sahaba. No funding problems as Saudi takes care of it's pets.
6. Armed forces and indecisive judiciary play the biggest joke of the century, and strong arms the whole nation into a new anti-terrorism law. (Where they should have fixed the judiciary, they go and give the devil another weapon to shoot the citizens).
