Around A Whopping $3.0 Billion Worth Of Animals Sacrificed On Eid Al-Adha In Pakistan This Year.

Yes. Parliament should sit with Islamic Ideology Council to legislate ethical raising of animals intended for religious slaughter and measures to discourage exploitation of inflated prices banking on religious sentiment.

Despite coming to power based on Islam friendly slogans, PTI has passed legislature in direct contradiction with the faith followed by majority of the citizens.

Give it a rest buddy, everything ends with PTI bashing with you recently. Though ethical slaughter is a massive issue.

Ethical slaughter comes way down the pecking order. Ethical raising is even a more pressing issue, even theologically.

Yes I agree, and to your earlier point, ethical raising will go a long way to solving export barriers too.

even the Iron Brother will not import beef products from Pakistan unless it can supervise the raising, slaughter, processing and storage

phull sapportt to UK sarkaar for allowing blackmarket of Pakistan dairy products!!

We need some kind of Islamic legislation that allows people to pay money to the poor instead of sacrificing animals.

Imagine $3b dollars put towards poverty every year - every poor child will be fed, educated and provided healthcare for the whole year rather than a parcel of meat that will last a week.
3 billion went from Urban to Rural economies and gave a boost to the leather industry

This statement reminded me of the following video. Pakistanis spend a lot more money on entertainment but people rarely bring up poverty to discourage that, it is always religious matters people object to.

Funny those who are crying for cheaper Qurbani brag about them going to Europe for vacations, buying their 3 year olds Iphone Pro max, buying exotic cars , and bragging about their millions gather in Eidi, hahah if you say something to them, then their argument is, we do business, and its our haq halal ki kamai... masjid ki road block pe comment kerna asaan hai, lakin ussi masjid mai ek pani ka cooler lagwane ke liye in rich logo ki jaib mai ek dehla nai milta hahah

giving the legislation of Islam to our so called lunda bazar ke America aur European, they will close mosques, banned Salah, remove Quran , change it and etc who needs Dajjal when we have our PDFians :D

My post was specifically about qurbani of expensive animals and you are bringing in irrelevant and far fetched examples. What next then - legislate on people giving expensive gifts or buying expensive assets? Would you be willing to move in a small house, just because majority others can't afford the bigger property you currently live in now? Why not own and self drive a suzuki mehran when you could afford a landcruiser and a driver.

If someone can afford to sacrifice an imported/expensive animal, there should be no prohibition. If they do it to show off, well then their sacrifice may just not be accepted by The Almighty and there could be consequences for them on Judgement Day. Salah to show others that you pray is shirk - shall we legislate on this too?
Do you do any of the bolded parts as part of a religious ritual?

“You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in your personal selves, and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you (Jews and Christians) and from those who ascribe partners to Allah, but if you persevere patiently, and become Al-Muttaqun (the pious) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs, and that is from the great matters, [which you must hold on with all your efforts]

So if it comes to wealth, for which nothing prohibits use and display of, there is also responsibility with it. For that purpose Zakat does exist and its likely that the man sacrificing a 2 million animal may be giving 30 million in alms.. but does that still justify the 2 million import?
Sure, leave it to Allah and you should - just don’t paint it as the most prudent and welfare ridden choice.

And here comes the defensive rants and assumptions that slowly denigrate to frothing attacks and all the teachings of Islam and values unravel right then. Yes, the excessive spends on iphones, european vacations and gucci bags are all excesses that could have been focused more on charity than any Qurbani animal could be - but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things to improve everywhere and more importantly, it doesn’t mean only the rich ignore giving money to the mosque to install something.

Gaslighting isn’t a good practice in general.

Apart from religious significance of sacrificial ritual of Eid, it is 'Farz' for every Muslim who has capacity.
Further economical impact which also beneficial for poor is as follows:
Most of the poor in villages, buy or breed animals for the purpose to make good return on Eid.
Transport sector gets a huge spike in activitits to transport sacrificial animals to proposed markets for sale.
Leather industry takes an unparalleled boost where thousands of worker are employed. Country earns foreign exchange through exports of leather goods.
The casings for sausages are prepared in the factories, again benefitting employees and country alike.
Nutritional spike for poor people as they got a chance to consume mutton and beef, which usually they unable.

The sacrificial 'Farz' generate so much economical boost or 'khair' for poor and rich alike that an ordinary person unable to understand.
Better we should stay away to purpose the changes in Islam, Islam was perfected as reflects from the sermon of 'Haj-at-Alwidah'.

One who gives life, taketh!
An act of faith so profound, it was and remains unmatched... submission to the fullest.

One who was to sacrifice his own son!

It was never the sacrifice but the act itself...
It relives in it's distinction... relives in it's action/deed as a reminder for those yet to be...

The act is of submission and deliverance... not of charity!

Making it such is itself an omission and reorientation. Charity comes later...
Remember only that is accepted what one is asked to do and what was intended, not heedless posturing or sanctimony. Straying on a spectrum with no end in sight, no direction, no compass.
