Army Rejects Gillani Claims - Gillani sacks Defence Secretary

our prime minister is really going bonkers, and if a coup does really happen, the beneficiary will be PPP, they will now get the political martyr and mazloom image, even after all those 4 years of disastrous leadership.

Criticism of Pakistan's military by PM Yousuf Raza Gilani will have "serious ramifications", the army has said.

Earlier this week Mr Gilani was quoted saying the army chief and head of intelligence acted unconstitutionally by making submissions to a Supreme Court inquiry rocking the government.

The army warned of "potentially grievous consequences for the country".

Tensions have been rising in recent months between Pakistan's civilian government and military leaders.

Meanwhile, Mr Gilani has sacked his defence secretary, state TV reports.

A senior official told AFP news agency that Naeem Khalid Lodhi had been removed from his post for gross misconduct.

ANOTHER BREAKING NEWS:

A writ has been submitted in Islamabad High Court against any possible dismissal of COAS and DG ISI.

The writ has been submitted by Maulvi Anwar ul Haq.

This writ is a master stroke - and will prevent the current leadership of the Armed Forces being removed.

It seems Pakistan will again make a record of an elected government never to complete 5yrs term in entire history of Pakistan.

What record. Is it written in some divine scripture that every elected govt should complete it's term no matter how inept it is. The PM might be sacked according to the constitution for not following supreme court's orders and early elections would be held in the country. Hence the democratic process would prevail.
