Army pushes Taliban back to Afghanistan.

Dear sir, why does all your aid go to corrupt politicians? Why do you like watching poor innocent Iranian and NKorean CIVILIANS starve to death? If you're worried about Pakistani nuclear assets so much why don't you share technology for securing it with us instead of just criticizing? Also, why no measures are being taken INSIDE the USA to curb Islamo/Pakistanophobia?

You cannot complain to US if your own politicians are corrupt. It is your problem not their, he can ask you why do elect the corrupt? You elected them, not US. They will give money to government only, not someone on PDF.

What you describe as a "curse" has been a lifeline for both the Pakistani military and the economy.

You need to explain how? Looking at it logically, your statement does not make any sense. Our politicians found an easy way to acquire money instead of initiating domestic structural reforms that are needed to return Pakistan to a healthy fiscal balance.

That 80 billion estimated loss was recognized to be an exaggeration, was it not?

If you lived in Pakistan, believe me that number won't appear exaggerated at all. But the number has been coined not by the Government but independent organizations whom conducted their own research. The Government simply borrowed that number from these organizations. I will leave it upto you whether you want to accept reality or just accept whatever the US propaganda machine feeds you.

Afghanistan is assured $4b in military and $4b in non-military aid for several years separately from Pakistan's aid package, and it is a myth that Pakistan's economy can survive without it.

Good for Afghanistan but pray tell me how exactly Pakistan cannot survive without US aid? The US has provide Pakistan with roughly $20 billion over 11 years of time span. That amounts to roughly $1.81 billion per year. I don't mean to cause any offence to you but you have to be OUT OF YOUR ******** MIND to believe that Pakistan is surviving on a puny sum of $1.81 billion/yr. We can generate a much bigger amount than this by initiating the tax reforms.

I am astonished by the fact that you cannot see how this war has ended up costing Pakistan more compared to what she has received. A puny amount of $1.81 billion per annum can hardly infuse any oxygen into the Pakistani economy, the number is simply too low. While on the other hand the destruction that has been caused by this war far exceeds this sum by any margin. Even if you believe that the $80 billion figure is exaggerated, you still have to admit that losses incurred by Pakistan exceed the sum of $20 billion.

Finally, "luck favors those who do not include it in their plans".

True

And why would America or any other country take Pakistani advice on their relations in the region. Pakistan should worry about Pakistan and let the region sort itself out.. May be that's the problem.. Pakistan is more bothered about the neighboring countries than itself..

Yes mate, that's what happens when you have a hostile neighbour and you're not allowed to close borders.

I admit that that losses incurred by Pakistan exceed $20 billion, surely, and I also admit that the compensation Pakistan has received for those losses is not enough to cover them.

No offence taken, but please indulge me and allow me to turn your argument around: You have to be OUT OF YOUR ******** MIND to sell out Pakistan's national interests for the puny sum of $1.81 billion/yr instead of initiating tax reforms.

And yet that is exactly what has happened. Why?

I'm sure these buggers will be back. Unless the PA and para military forces permanently occupy the areas they have taken. :pop:
