My question to everybody? WHAT HAVE THE DONE LATELY? From Abbotabad Operations to Mehran to Kamra and BadBeer. One black mark after the other. The can't even protect their own back yard. Killings are continued in Karachi and every where else. SHABASH JAWANOO SHABASH. They are the master of one sided operations against MQM and Peoples Party and in Baluchistan, in the mean time LOOT KHSOOTT continued in Punjab. No I don't have any sympathies towards MQM or Peoples Party at all. I just like to call a spade a spade.

As far as protecting backyards is concerned, for every one attack that goes through, a few dozen are stopped.

One-sided operations? I assume you're referring to the Karachi Operation. And you're complaining why it isn't happening in Punjab. Maybe that's because the Operation is called the Karachi Operation for a reason and Karachi is not in Punjab.

MQM says only they are being targeted. PPP says only they are being targeted - they are the two major political parties in Karachi and both are being targeted, which means the operation is across the board within its mandate, which is Karachi and to an extent the rest of Sindh.

If the Army or Paramilitary was to go beyond that mandate and do the same in Punjab, people like you would cry that it's overstepping its mandate, ''Soft Coup'' ''Jamhuriat ko Khatra''. There are already many saying that.

It's very easy to sit in comfortable chairs and criticize soldiers - if you think you're so much more efficient, join the Army. Then we'll see what you do except use your excretory system when faced with tough situations.

My question is why there isn't an operation in Punjab. Why we ordinary Punjabis left at the mercy of PML-N. As far as attacks on bases concern if they stopped any then Shabash they did their Job. I consider attacks on bases as one too many. We are the laughing stock of the world.

Truth is good but without knowing the whole situation and making negative criticism will not get you anywhere. Are you here to provoke thought process that can improve situation? I think you want to improve things but the way you came out with your comments nobody will view them as positive. You do not know how many incidents like Mehran and Kamra have been averted. Agreed that was a very bad example of security. There may be something missing in Badaber as well, or it was done with the help of some traitor. Constructive criticism is one thing and downright arrogance with total lack of understanding is not received well. But maybe you do not care like your fearless leader whom I was a fan but he does not weigh his words so I guess it is a tradition.

RAWALPINDI - The Pakistan Army on Tuesday announced posting/transfers of senior military officers.


According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations here, Lt Gen Ikram ul Haq has been posted as Gujranwala Corps Commander, Lt Gen Hilal Hussain has been posted as Army Strategic Force Command Commander and Lt Gen Malik Zafar Iqbal has been posted as Rawalpindi Corps Commander.


The statement said that Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa will continue as Inter-Services Public Relations Director General. Lt Gen Sadiq Ali has been posted as Lahore Corps Commander, Lt Gen Umar Farooq Durrani has been posted as Mangla Corps Commander and Lt Gen Aamir Riaz as Southern Command Commander, it added.

by the time next November comes around Gen Raheel Shareef would have put in place like minded general officers who will continue with majority of his policies esp. against the militants external and internal.

ISPR is doing a lot of work now that was never envisaged for it in the past --- it would have far reaching consequences -- positive in the overall psyche of the Pakistani mindset specially in the younger generation.

Even before any operation was launched on MQM or PPP, Rangers were in operation against the Taliban and Miscreants in ares with predominantly Pashtun Population. Manghopir and areas beyond Banaras Chowk were under constant search and seizure raids conducted at night or early dawn.

Persons picked up in these raids, from these areas, were in some cases never found -- these were known operatives of criminal gangs and Talib supporters. The locals were terrorized by Talib thugs and lower ANP cadre- turned criminals,

The local population -- some of them i know now profess that things have drastically improved in there areas. Now areas where elements from North Waziristan are residing are being cleared. Unfortunately, that angle is never covered by the press.

Same is the case with Liyari and Trans Liyari areas where operation against the criminal gangs has been going on much before any operation began in the greater Karachi areas. PPP at that time never said a word against that ops. as it suited them to clean of elements that supported their opponents within the party - aka the Z. Mirza group.

I have yet to come across a person from Karachi who is against the operation. Even die hard supporter of both the political parties remain silent on what is going on and grudgingly accept that LnO situation has improved

Sindh Govt. either deliberately or out of sheer incompetence has failed to put out the facts infront of people of Karachi and the nation as whole. The PR bit has been left to the Rangers who r not really trained to do this and sometimes make a hash of the situation.
