Well I cant comment on what you get upto in your spare time friend, but as a principle, both the countries have been guilty of spending large sums on defence acquisitions at the expense of general development of the masses.

NO...India's defence spending is constant. The purchasing has increased because our economy has increased. When India's economy was not good we spent around 2- 3%. When the economy is strong, we are spending at the same rate. It is Pakistan which is trying to catch up with India by increasing it's defence spending.

Pakistan should build up its arm. Doesn't need to outnumber India. India is so insecure that you just need to raise the number a little and they will jump by pissing huge amount of money in expensive weapons. That will keep most of us outside happy as we can charge them an arm or a leg.

You forget Pakistan's quality multiplier. India has poor quality in arm forces. For every dollar Pakistan spends, India has to spend ten dollars to catch up.

Apart from us and the Chinese and to some degree the Pakistanis, who else is on a weaponization spree, mate? Malaysia and Indonesia are just at their normal pace of arming. Nothing out of the normal. Don't go reading the site Air Power Australia. Though I won't call it a propaganda site, it really is full of rather pessimistic people who're worried about everything from Indonesia to Brunei to Philippines and to China and even us.
