we all are... coz we are in PDF(virtual world) instead of in real world doing something productive....

pdf is part of the real world... opinions here also decide what happens off-line.

tragic thing is pdf could have been a place to unite people and create a world community/movement for spreading progressive political thoughts and forcing others to accept them... but pdf has become a place to wage idiotic nationalist/religious/sectarian wars.

Well I am ready to kill the other guy , my enemy but to die nope not possible. Soldiers are conditioned and the dogma drilled into their head that they need to die for the country. If you look at the military around the world,

1) it is the lower and poor rung of the society who go into military for livelihood. Why would some one who has enough wealth leave his comfortable life to die ?
2) The so called military class or marital class who derive power by subduing others. They are more a product of history where they have been subject to war through generations. Once they defeat the enemy they assume control over their own society and start dominating which ultimately becomes political class. It becomes a lucrative career.
3) There will be some exceptional ppl who are ready sacrifice their lives but of minuscule percentage.

Of course PDF has a lot of arm chair internet warriors who ready to die in virtual world .

Many people on PDF talk like warriors.. But how many of you are willing to go and die on border for your country if your govt invite its citizens to come and participate in the war?

Do you want only soldiers who are from poor families want to die for you?

Are you willing to lay your life for your country?

Be honest in your answers please.

5 of my 8 pateranal uncles were soldiers.
1 of my maternal uncle was a soldier.
both my grand fathers were soldiers.
fighting for your country is an honor, and i would fight for both of my countries if they need me.

As soon as i saw this post, I didn't even hesitate a second to say YES out loud.
I am a Pakistani, this is my motherland. No matter where I go, what I do, I will always be a Pakistani.

Looking at the current situation in Pakistan, that India is attacking on our borders and Indian weapons caches are being discovered all over Pakistan, I feel that this is a tactic used by other countries before attacking, to destabilize the country and cause choas and confusion.

I am very anti-war i believe that dialogue is the best sollution. Massive human and economical resources are lost in war. No country wants that.
But that being said, I am not blind to see that sometimes WAR is neccessary.

If that day comes, I will gladly use any and all resources I have to fight and die for my country. As a law abiding citizen my firearms have never tasted blood. In the case of war, they shall, and I shall not think twice to fight.

Does the army require troops? Will the government allow it? I don't care. Fighting for Pakistan is in my blood and my right, as it is yours.
