This (the link you posted) had nothing to do with the guy being Indian, but when a person specifically asks you your nationality just to kill you, that's qualify to be called a hate crime directed at a particular group.

Australian attack was in 2010 to 2011, similar attack were/are done on Chinese mostly because they think that Indian and Chinese take away their jobs.

Now you cant compare that to the 'attacks done on Pakistani because an average american/westerner falsely believes that all Pakistani are terrorists'

Now coming back to visa restrictions. It is common for any muslim country. The world has changed after 9/11 for Muslims and same applies to Pakistanis too.

If it has to do only with religion and not with Pakistan then why didn't the passenger ask whether the driver is from Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey or Iran? Why is there no Visa restrictions for Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Maldives, but for Pakistan? All of these countries are muslim majority.

In order to make this fit into the typical irrational-Pakistan-hating-Indian-narrative, the story should have played out along the lines off the passenger sticking his gun in the Moroccan driver's face until he was convinced that the driver really wasn't Pakistani ... and then let him go ...

You wanna know the truth ?? Pakistanis are seen with suspicion in many countries. Some time back i met a Brazilian woman and she explicitly asked if i am Pakistani Muslim. When i asked her why that is important , then she said she would avoid meeting a Pakistani guy. Seriously man , Brazilians too .

Point of the blabbering is , There is grey image of Pakistan and accept it and Indians are not responsible of it.

What's with this name calling and personal insults when you loose arguments? Something I have seen only with pakistani posters across the internet.

Anyway on topic, more than Arab, Pakistan and Afghanistan is associated with terrorism, at least that is what is being projected by the media there. The reason is very simple, Arabs are rich and bring business to America while Pakistani and Afghanistani are poor and only bring burden and refugee to US. This is the reason despite having all the proof against Saudi, they bombed Iraq, Afghanisan and are currently droning Pakistan but not a single weapon they could fire in Saudi or any rich Arab nation.
