Do you mean to say one shouldn't practice the religion the way it must be? Like, one should break his/her fast by afternoon, or reduce his/her namaz (prayer) to half?
Are Pakistanis extremists?

THERE are two ways of effecting a change in a society: from top to bottom or from bottom to top. Conventionally, it has been believed and development and political strategies are based on this notion that changes at the top and the trickle-down effect will create an impact at the bottom, where it is needed.
I don't give a moral judgement about how people should practice their religion, but I only see a difference between Pakistanis and other people from Islamic countries in the way they practice their religion. It's a observation, not a judgement.
Perceptions I must say.aankhon dekhi aur kano suni par vishwas karna chahiyeCannot say on the ground how it is but reading from here, I strongly feel yes.
By God I am still not able to reach to the point you are trying to put up? Let be it your observations, I just want it be more cleared. May be I help you understand our view.
I think Pakistani extremism starts with Pakistani textbooks which portray Hindu and Christian cultures as inferior culture. It is always funny and bizarre to hear from many Pakistanis when they say,"We Muslims made you Indians civilized."
Problem is these middle class technocrats don't get the power so they either move to other country or they work under a corrupt top class which decreases their efficiency. The change in Pakistan has to come from the MIDDLE. The TOP is too damn CORRUPT and the BOTTOM is too damn IGNORANT. Pakistan has to be saved by its Middle Class Technocrats. If only the educated Pakistani Technocrats could learn to collaborate and pull the country out of its malaise.
Ok, for example:
Iranians or Turks are much lesser extreme in the way they practice their religion in comparison to Pakistanis. Thats my observation.
One can see that as a positive thing, while some not. It's not a judgement.
Rarely do you come across a practicing Pakistani person. That's true, there's too damn many of us, and most would shag or smoke during a fast! With that amount of religious ignorance, you can either have mockery of or extremisim in religion.Ok, for example:
Iranians or Turks are much lesser extreme in the way they practice their religion in comparison to Pakistanis. Thats my observation.
One can see that as a positive thing, while some not. It's not a judgement.
I wonder if you ever had access to textbooks we read? In case if you don't know then let me tell you a fact that a Muslim is not a Muslim until he accepts Jesus a prophet of God. Please spare us from the faulty knowledge you bear.
on the contrary middle class in any country tends to be more conservative.Problem is these middle class technocrats don't get the power so they either move to other country or they work under a corrupt top class which decreases their efficiency.
Also its hard for this middle class to educate the lower Ignorant class.
