Find the article both highly hilarious and extremely accurate at the same time.
Firstly, I'll just acknowledge what the author is right about:
1. It is true that the top-down approach can never work in our society. This is because the top has no concerns for the bottom.
2. Our democracy is a sham. If only 20% of the public actually votes and even then the majority party barely has 50% of those votes, how can it claim to be a representative of our society?
3. The violence that is tearing our society is not of a religious nature, it is of an ethnic nature
Now for the errors which I must admit made me laugh:
1. Journalistic bias is something a reporter must never show, even in an opinion piece. You must never write for the liberals or for the conservatives. The difference between being biased and being openly biased was clearly shown here. One must never say they're writing for liberals, that is for a liberal or a conservative to decide
2. The last line is in very poor taste. I believe the editor should have really edited that line out, it is highly horrible.
3. Religious parties have never been popular among any of the classes, that is a fact
4. A reporter's agenda should never be laid out this openly, it's just one of the rules of journalism
Overall, I'll say that only one 'fact' was wrong. But the conclusions drawn are highly controversial, to say the least. And the bias makes one distrust the author the second one reads it
3.Extremists are trying to cease power (brain fart)
I'm sure the extremists are not trying to cease power, they're probably trying to seize it though
