Three blunders of Nehru led to the creation of Pakistan - Maulana Abul Kalam Azad

India is surrounded by the four lines - Jaswant Singh

The British Imperialists might lack in many stuffs, but the in-depth understanding of the geo-strategy isn't one of them! They made the British India by playing with China, Russia etc. And, they enormously benefitted from it in all spheres, which includes creating the financial barons (which serves then till today), winning two world wars, maintaining the huge colonial empire where the sun didn't set etc. They wanted to do one last favor to the sub-continental folks by proposing the Cabinet Mission Plan. In essence, it means three units - Muslim majority western and eastern parts, and the Hindu majority central part - in a lose confederation. But, the foreign policy and defense would be under the unified command. Now, just imagine if it were the case, would the Chinese have got such free hands considering the Brahmin leadership had that much of strategic acumen?

Anyway, the Cabinet Mission Plan, which was accepted by both the Muslim League and the Congress, was later torpedoed by Nehru for the Hindu leadership didn't want to create "two Pakistan(s) and one Hindustan"! They wanted a damn strong center for their very own Hindu Raj, which might be small but it'd be theirs!! The rest is history....

*This opinion is based on the "table talks" my elders used to have
**Subhas Bose's Indian National Army had a very high percentage of Muslim soldiers. And, the Muslim officers held very high positions

I haven't read much about IndoPak history or the leaders of yesteryears but i have a suspicion-and I might be completely wrong in my uninformed assessment-that Nehru and the likes back then had absolutely no idea about the size of the hindu population and the geography that they occupied. Hence they felt threatened by '2 Pakistans' and '1 Hindustan'. Either that, or the 1000y muslim rule had its psychological toll on the hindu leaders of the time. I kind of feel like they had low self esteem and lack of confidence in their ability to rule muslims - a demographic that had ruled over them inspite of being a minority.
Also consider this, the population of Pakistan is 220mil and that of Bangladesh is 180mil~ i think. Add that to the 200mil in India and you get a strong Muslim 'minority' of 600mil people vs probably 800 to 1bil hindus. So if it was a United india, i don't think muslims would have been a walkover contrary to common belief. But again, it would have been an artificial 'super state' just like now it is albiet its much smaller in size and population. My two cents.

The bold part is essentially what the reason was. They actually demanded partition of Punjab and Bengal because they wanted to give away an unworkable Pakistan that wont survive. These are hindu nehru's exact words" The truncated Pakistan that remains will hardly be a gift worth having.” Shameful flight The last years of British Empire in india.

Jinnah and highly disorganized Pakistan army were all alone fighting the rest were just incompetent. When Pakistan somehow emerged despite enormous problems and an incompetent civil bureaucracy and political leadership, they tried to wrest away Kashmir and the planning was done very early. First they said, only muslim population districts of Punjab and bengal should go to Pakistan and now they were demanding a whole state with 80% muslim population.

Nehru's exact words well before they accuse Pakistan of invasion " things must be done in a way so as to bring about the accession of kashmir to the indian union as rapidly as possible with cooperation of Sheikh Abdullah." Letter on 27th September 1947 to hindu extremist Patel.

Jinnah is accused of not thinking about muslims who would be left behind in hindu india. This is wrong because Jinnah accepted the Cabinet mission plan because of the muslims left in india.

This secularism in india has always been a cloak under which the actual system nourishes namely : Hindutva Raj and not just hindu raj. Hindutva Raj means inculcating hindu values by force and subjugation of any opposing force.

Sadly, Pakistanis and its establishment genuinely desires peace with india which is a totally wrong and a flawed approach. A Hindu, wherever it lives, maintains a genetically nurtured hatred for Pakistan and Islam. Pakistan must have a ferocious approach to hindu ideology with one goal in mind - absolute mutilation and annihilation of hindutva fascism and its covert supporters.

I would respectfully disagree. With all constitutional powers vested in hindu delhi, with the paramilitary, military, intelligence community, economic control, and policing powers also there; what chance would muslims have?

Mr. Jinnah (R.A) compared hindu ruled princely states with muslim ruled ones. Hindu ruled states with muslim majority or minority were horrendous to muslims. Example: Kashmir under hari singh was taxing even wives of muslims. after the british would have left, hindutva raj was a forgone conclusion.

Jinnah tried his best to save the entire Muslim population of the sub-continent. But, the Hakikat allowed him to save the two thirds. As per the Sheriyat, which envisages as much good deeds (Hosh Amal) as possible given the constraints, Jinnah is 100% right....
