Bro this is not the issue! we are clear with our customs and our culture, this guy is just trolling here.

Our marriages were never like this at the first place the sole problem is the media which has imposed this indian shyt onto us. But still if you look closely they are quite different. You guys have tons of customs which we dont have in our marriages.
And apart from these marriages we dont have anything related to each other. Our way of thinking, our society behaviour, our customs, our believes are all different from indians. So plz dont dont relate us with your being, we really dont like to be call our self to be indian.

As I said, I may be wrong. You may be more close to Arabs...Anyway it doesn't bother me what a Pakistani thinks of himself. I just expressed my opinion on OP.

U now r trying to relate us to hinduism and india.

You have a comprehension problem.

quite possibly the most generalized and flawed argument i've seen on this thread....
He is actually right, except for his last statement.
indians dont even all share the same culture with eachother....if they did, you wouldnt have caste system or regional rivalries (or communal for that matter)
You are confusing religion with culture.
India is infact mindbogglingly diverse. With diverse ethinicites, religions, cultures, traditions, cuisine, etc. A diversity so vast that many people actually have difficulty in comprehending and justifying the unity that is India. But saying that the much loathed caste system is based on such diversity is plain ignorant. FYI, caste system developed as a system of actually classifying people according to their professions for purposes of governance and administration in primitive or early societies. Unfortunately it became entrenched as a 'birth right' rather than a hierarchical classification of society.
Your statement is like saying or justifying the existence of different sects in Islam exist due to differences in the cultures and ethnicity of those following the religion. Totally wrong.

quite a lot... most cultural practices ( right or wrong ) that pakistanis/indian-muslims conduct are those retained from pre-islam time or their pre-conversion time... so the op is right that his pakistani muslims have more common with hinduism than anything else.

I meant what the hell I had to do with honor killings? My post was simply to highlight a hypocrite here who is lying and pretending to be a Pakistani Muslim.

Anyhow op is trying to convince people that they are not Muslims because they are not owned by some other Muslims living in another part of life, so there is a hidden message that Indian Hindus are more close to us so why not we relate to them. Which if you want my reply now is over my dead body.

..You nailed the truth..
another proverb explains the situation of pakistanis well..
" Naya Naya Mulla............... Allah Allah jyada bolta hai.."
Again you are demeaning them. They are not Naya Mullah. At best they don't care about us. Worst, they hate us. This is the reality and if you can't undo what was done in the centuries, it's better you accept it. :) Having similar customs and culture as Hindus is an insult to any Pakistani - even Ahmedias.

You are confusing religion with culture.
And this is where YOU are wrong. A society following unadulterated Islam will reject unIslamic culture. Today Kashmiri Shaivism is alive only in the diaspora and history books.

.
..c'mon..the proverb is only to make things easier to understand...
...but they are Naya Naya Mulla ( since Auoranjeb---17th Century AD) compared to the IVC, to which they claim to be part of..
They are Muslim and Pakistani. That is all. :) They have chosen it and they shall have it.

.
Pakistani socialism? What is that??? Pakistanis are a capitalistic people...the curse of socialism was tried by Z.A. Bhutto and it failed miserably.

so faiz ahmed faiz was wasting time, and so did iqbal before him, in his moments of socialist inspirations...

and of gaddafi's visit to pakistan, the pakistanis derived only a kirket stadium... sigh...

What are you even talking about? They are still Kashmiris, they still follow age old Kashmiri traditions. People converting to or following Islam will definitely stop worshiping Hindu Gods. So whats your point here?

I have lived in the US since I was 17 and I find myself having a lot more in common with indians and begalis then I do with arabs. Here in florida we have a large palestinian and syrian population and I know some people in those communities but I really dont think we have much in common with them. Even the masjids are divided. The one I go to is mainly pakistanis and muslims from india and bangladesh. Its rare to find any arabs there.
kill yourself

Do you have ANY idea what you are talking about? You want to live in the bubble, feel free to do so. My apologies for shaking your cosy comfortable world.

In case you missed it - 'A society following unadulterated Islam will reject unIslamic culture.' TOTALLY.

The reason you didn't find any wedding ceremonies in line with arabs or Persians is because we are not Arabs or Persians. Did you ever think about that?

Many of your country men might differ from you. This is the reason why even after 65 years of independence, Pakistanis are still confused about their identity.
