I hope you Arab loving neo-Ottoman Islamists are happy. Fkn traitors.
And to the idiots who are going to say "but the Arabs hate us because we ruled them lol", yeah we already know that genius. The point is that they've infected us with this whole Islamist ideology since the 80s with full backing from the west. And now they're trying to turn Turkey into what they've been for decades. Meanwhile the west is ordering them to secularize.
We were a militarist secular Kemalist state which was in another league when compared to Arab countries. Now we're trying to become them because of the Georgian watermelon seller. "Oh but Erdoğan made the defense industry what it is", no you dumbàss the Turkish defense industry was restarted in the 70s after your precious Menderes had killed it in the 50s. It was on the path to be where it is now regardless of Erdoğan.
We never should have stooped to their level. We were so feared as a secular state but now we're are just a toothless Arab loving country. I seriously hope someone like Imamoglu takes control of the country because we need to set the record straight. Time to become Turks again instead of Arab loving neo-Ottomans. You seriously think they view us as brothers? In your dreams. Soon we shall descend on them like the Turco-Mongols did centuries ago. Wake up and return to your roots.
There are a couple of errors in your post. But I guess I'll start by saying that you need to incorporate critical thinking. Meaning, whatever you read, don't take it at face value but rather research and fact check what you have read. When fact checking, avoid cognitive bias. An example of a cognitive bias is, you search google for something and the first "source" you find that suits your current opinion, you say to yourself something like 'I was right all along' and cease to investigate any further. That is cognitive bias, a sort of a defence mechanism of the brain in order to feel good about oneself and avoid conflicting thoughts. In other words, your opinion wouldn't be based on reality, but whatever you feed yourself. Subjective rather than objective.
Erdogan, whether you like him or not, his policy is responsible for where the defence industry is where it is today. Yes, indigenizing the industry started back in the 70's, but that didn't mean everything went like it was supposed to. There have always been (especially in the 90's) people blocking indigenous products in favor of importing. This doesn't necessarily mean that there was ill intent either. They could've simply thought that imports were just better than indigenous, or had some other reason. Or on some cases there could've have been bad intentions. But this is supposed to be judged case by case, not generalize and say all these people were bad or whatever. This also continued (and probably still continues to some extent), but Erdogan's current policy has been indigenization and has been able to block this and basically obligated indigenous procurement. That is why we gained traction and made such a big leap in the last decade. And please don't take my word for it, do your own research. I heard about this in interviews with Temel Kotil and the CEO of Kale among others. The CEO of Kale, when he talked about his first endeavors of making a Turkish rifle, people (military/security/bureaucrats) were trying to block them (because of security and licenses etc, not due to ill intentions in this case).
Menderes didn't kill the industry in the 50's. It's true that Nuri Demirag's company went bankrupt in the 50's officially, the company was already financially struggling in the 40's due to THK not buying any planes since 1938. There was also a lawsuit between him and THK, which ended unfavorably for Nuri Demirag as well as the start of the Marshall plan in 1948. Nuri Demirag actually was the person to make the first political opposition party (Milli Kalkinma partisi), and was Ismet Inonu's only rival in the elections of the 46 but lost. He then later became of a member of parliament of Menderes's party in 1954. And no, I am not blaming Inonu for the demise of our defence industry in that period either. You gotta judge their actions according to those times. You had the Marshall plan, WW2, poverty, etc. All these factors gotta be factored in.
However, I am of the opinion that Inonu should've supported Demirag in his endeavors, I do want to add that saying something like this is easy, considering we know what happened. They did not have this luxury as we don't have the luxury of knowing what is going to happen in the future either.
I think the reason Demirag went into politics in starting from 45/46 onward was to save his plane factory, among others. Probably due to the lack of political support at the time. I would like to see political speeches, messages and pamphlets etc. from Demirag's party in order to be a better judge of what he wanted politically and what motivated him to go into politics.
We were a militarist secular Kemalist state which was in another league when compared to Arab countries.
We were no different than any other country that was ruled by dictators or other authoritarian regimes. Because authoritarian regimes are all different sides of the same coin. They are exactly the same in every way and everything they do. The only difference is in the details. One regime is secular, the other is religious, while the other is communist, then you got a capitalist regime, etc. Study the recent history of various other countries like Indonesia and other Asian countries, South-American countries, various countries in the world and you will see how similar their recent political history is compared to ours. Fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter what ideology the leader or the regime has, as long as it serves their overlords (superpowers) they are tolerated and encouraged.
We never should have stooped to their level. We were so feared as a secular state but now we're are just a toothless Arab loving country.
The reason they are making this tv series is because they are fearing Turkey's cultural influence in the middle east and are trying to stop the influence of Turkish culture which has gained traction in the Middle-East. The tv series is sponsored by UAE and KSA. The KSA channel MBC has actually stopped the broadcasting of Turkish series on it's channel a while ago. We can safely conclude here that the KSA government is behind this policy. The reason for this is the government of KSA being displeased by Turkey's growing influence. KSA, UAE and Egypt see Turkey as their political rival in the recent years, and this is evident in their propaganda regarding Turkey. And by the way, Egypt is exactly what Turkey was in the 80's. Sisi is exactly like Evren. Two sides, same coin.
You seriously think they view us as brothers? In your dreams. Soon we shall descend on them like the Turco-Mongols did centuries ago. Wake up and return to your roots.
Nationalism as an ideology is what causes wars and conflicts. Even the ideology of ISIS is nationalism based at its core and has Baathist roots, even though it claims Islamism. And 9 times of of 10, it destroys itself rather than others. If I were like illuminati, freemasons or some intelligence agency or whatever and wanted a country to destroy itself by way of civil war, destabilize a region or cause strife in some form or fashion, I would start by sponsoring and supporting the most nationalistic outlets, and work my way down the list for other ideologies. The more fanatical they are, the easier they are to be pitted against each other. The more they hate each other, the more their hatred is supported and amplified by these organizations until they get whatever they were after.
Take Israel as an example. Evangelists support the most nationalistic zionists they can find because they believe in Armageddon. The Armageddon prophecy is not something that favors Jews (it entails that two third of them die for the second coming). But they support zionists anyway because they know what their end goal is and what fanaticism and nationalism as an ideology does. Evangelists are anti-semite zionists (oxymoron?).
Bizim ulkemizi dusun, sag-sol catismalari, laik-muhafazakar, Turk-Kurt, Sunni-Alevi, bunlarin hepsi ulkemizi zayiflatmak icin. Buna alet olmamiz lazim, ve boyle seylere karsi uyanik olmamiz lazim. Seni biraz kandırmışlar diye dusunuyorum (kandirmamak elde degil, hepimiz gunluk kandiriliyoruz), soyle kandirmislar: sen Erdoğan'dan ve muhafazakarlardan nefret ediyorsun (mesajindan oyle anlasiliyor).
Ana akim tarafsiz olmaya calisan gazeteler bile 45% dogruluk oranini zor tutturuyorlar. Tarafli gazetelerde dogruluk oranini tahmin etmek istemiyorum bile. Tum dunyada objektiv gazetecilik ve bu meslegin hakkini veren gazetecileri saysan, tek elin parmagini bile gecmez. Zaten boyle gazetecilerin onunu tum dunyada tikiyorlar.
Bu propaganda olayini, gazetecilik mesleginin nekadar manipulatif oldugunu yakin zamanda yasadik. Turkiye Suriye'ye terore karsi savasmak icin girdi, ama dunya medyasi sanki Kurtlere karsi savasiyormusuz gibi lanse etti. Oradaki gazeteciler bizden daha iyi biliyor oyle olmadigini, ama onlar haberlerini politikalarina/cikarlarina yonelik hazirliyorlar ve onun icin boyle tur yalanlar soyluyorlar. Tipki yalanlarla dolu bu Osmanli dizisi gibi.
Haberciler, bize haberleri sunmuyor, onlarin sunduklari sadece inanmamizi istedikleri yalanlar ve manipülasyonlar (manufacturing consent):
