I think you mis-understood it, mate.
It's about the countries focus and top priority.

Most Malaysians are staunchly against Israel too, but our ultimate concern is the economy. For example, I always see members here talk about issues, ranging from US occupation, Israel-Palestine, India and all that, which is fine, but rarely do I see members here giving suggestions on what can be done to improve the economy or voting for a party which has been the best economic plan.
My personal believe is the governments top priority is to improve the well-being of it's citizens and economy

If you have read my previous post, I've always been supportive of Turkey. I personally think Turkey is a model Muslim nation too.
About the guy who wrote this, I don't know much, but this article came out in Malaysia's most legit newspaper.
