50% of North indian men have direct Indo-european ancestry, same thing goes for Iran and Pakistan and other 'Aryan' descended peoples.

Proto-indo-european religions/cultures share many common elements that can lead a people to greatness.
Italic (Roman empire), Celtic (British/America/USA), Slavic (USSR), Germanic (German Empire/British Empire/USA), Hellenic (Greeks in their many eras), Hindus (Indus-valley civilization).

A study was also undertaken on Pakistani boys in 2009. Young male children, who belonged to haplogroups R1a or R2, showed more signs of aggression and dominance as children than did young pakistanis of other haplgroups (mainly to hg G, H, J2, and L).
The logic behind testing children is that adults have learned to exhibit more acceptable behaviour due to education and cultural controls. Being aggressive does not just mean being prone to violent behaviour, but also being verbally aggressive, argumentative, uncooperative, stubborn/obstinate, and having a generally more competitive attitude towards others.

Razib Khan and Zack Ajmal both belong to haplogroup R1a.

If you want India to be great, start annihilating non-indo european ethnic minorities.

LOL if they were so advance as claimed in article then why couldnt they name their kind? and country?

Hindu and Hindustan was the name given to them from Muslim who first visited this area for trade. Its a Geographical Definition.

Almost all countries' name has derived from the name their neighbours referred to them as. The name China comes from Indian epic Mahabharata. There was never a country called 'China' in present day China. Qin dynasty sounds closest. But China is what Indians called them but I'm sure they had a local name in their languages as well like Indians had Bharat?

Just like that Hindus is what Persians called people living on eastside of river Sindhu. :/ and the name of that place Hindustan.

The trade between Arabia and India flourished during the period of early 8th to
the 12th century. A lot of Arab scholars and traders visited South Asia and described
the South Asian civilization of early medieval period.
The historian Malika Mohammada who is the author of the book called "The foundations of the composite culture in India" translated the Arab texts into English.
Here is a summary:
"The Arab scholars who visited early medieval South Asia and returned to Baghdad accepted
in unambiguous terms the superiority of South Asian achievements. Thus the Arab scholar
Al-Jahiz (869 CE) writes: " The Hindus excel in astrology and mathematics. They have developed
to a perfection their arts like sculpture, painting and architecture. They are the inventors of
chess. They make good swords and know all the tricks of fencing. Their music is pleasant
and they have all sorts of dances. From India we received the book called Khalilah-wa-Dimnah.
These people have judgement and are brave. In some virtues they surpass the Chinese"

The Arab scholar Yaquibi (895 CE) observes:" The Hindus are superior to all other nations in
intelligence and thoughtfulness. They are more exact in astronomy and astrology than any
other people. The Brahma Siddhanta is a good proof of their intellectual powers.; by this
book the Greeks and the Persians have also profited"

The Muslim scholar Al-Idrisi (1154 A.D.) says: "The Hindus are by nature inclined to justice and
never depart from it in their actions. Their good faith, honesty and faithfulness to their promises
are well known and they are so famous for these qualities that people flock to their country from
every side."

Thanks for sharing.

Too bad, so many cr@ppers are here to destroy this thread with Pak-Ind $hit shoveling.

Back to the topic!

Any Hindu/Sanskrit writers or historians who may have written about contemporary Iraq from the same period?

Just curious (and too lazy to look it up at this time )

First answer me, r u a Pakistani or a false flagger?

.
LOL if by mere stating facts n truth that dont go down your throat, then im more then happy to be a madrassa graduate then these supposed better ''educated'' Oxford, Cambridge Graduated Hindus who even dont have a name of their own.
ya ya blah blah blah........as if ur mom n dad were enjoying vacation and u were busy naming urself immediately after birth.
who gave our name isnt ur concern. if u can make out such BS reason to troll then it speaks volumes about ur education.
talking about names, to outsiders (esp. the illegal children of arabs/turks), india is known as such, but to us sons of soil, she is known as "bharat", "aryavart" among other to distinguish itself from the rest of the pack.
njoy ur bournvita n have a good day.

muslim conquerors started calling you guys hindus, not before nor in books?
thanks to all muslims for that.
the same muslims also killed, burnt, plundered, raped the ancestors of this land.
except for akbar and dara shikoh, and sher shah suri to some extent, all muslim rulers were marauders and behaved like petty burglars who had to fill up their coffers n run back to central asia.

I really think you need not to base your views on hatred. hatred will take you nowhere.

The actual name of the Hindu religion is Santana Dharma (Sanskrit). Hindu was a racial term used mainly by Persians to refer to those living East of the Indus River, and eventually the racial term also became a cultural/social and religious term to represent Indians...

We are talking about timescales in 2000-1500 BC here, Islam as a religion was not even thought of or invented at this point, this is 2700 years before islam, just to give you an idea of things...

so you are assuming the arabs adopted the term from persians ?

u r absolutely rite sir.
but i don't need to respect and love the ppl who killed my ppl.
that said, my anger is not against the muslims but the marauders who ruled back then. it just happened that those were muslims all rite, but not as peace loving as they drummed about.
talking about names again, u guys call us "Hindustanis" rite ???? but tell me which internationally recognized atlas mentions india exclusively by the name "Hindustan".????
moreover Hindustan = hindu+stan.....\
hindu = hindu and stan = corrupted vocabulary from Persian languages derived from Sanskrit word "sthaan" meaning place . n u know what, by this logic ur country's name borrows our funda. but lets not go into petty "this is mine, that's yours"

point is.....the arrival of islamic civilization enriched and further diversified the already mind boggling diversity we had in this land.
islamists think that they gave us our name, our culture, or language, our sacred texts, out dress, our music, our buildings......and so i say.....THANK U very much. if a single thank u is enuf to give peace a chance then so be it.
but whether u believe it or not, india/hindustan/aryavart/bharat existed before muslims came and they will be still here after the muslims are long gone (i genuinely hope not, partition did enuf damage to the diaspora already).
peace be with u.
