The Farsis are really happy that they might play in a AFC final for the first time in 40 years.:lol:

Congrats my Kurdish Wilayat al Faqih friend for apparently defeating 10 million big UAE in the dying seconds of a game, lol. You are scoring so many goals and playing so attractive football. Just like in the World Cup. I mean scoring 4 goals against football giants like Bahrain, Qatar and UAE is absolutely amazing. I sense a bit of irony here.

You really defetead some big Arab football powers in that group with huge populations and football traditions.:lol:

It was like you were playing KSA, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq etc. Unbelievable.

Once again you show that you have problems with English. I never wrote that UAE would win I just wrote that I hope that they will win. Just like I support any Arab team against you. If not every team. Already gave the reasons for that.

Anyway congrats. Let's hope that you calm down along the way. I bet that you have 1-2 Iranian Arab players on that team so I can't hate you all.

At the moment UAE is on par with, if not slightly ahead of, teams like KSA and Iraq. :)
KSA is no longer a big Arab football power. At least not relative to other Arab teams.
I put them in same rank as Qatar, Oman, Bahrain (didnt you lose to them 4-1 in a friendly rather recently btew?), UAE, Lebanon etc.

Wow, unexpected comment from you. :D

How so? I have been criticizing KSA for years. Even in this thread before the China game. Even during the Gulf Cup when the team reached the final. KSA has been shit for the past 5-6 years compared to all the success in 1980's, 1990's and 2000's when KSA was arguably the best Asian team in long periods of those 3 decades or at least in the top 2.

Now it's a mockery. I can't believe that KSA defeated Japan 3-2 in the AFC semifinal just 7 years ago. On the other hand I don't understand how KSA lost that final against Iraq. It must have been the enormous motivation that Iraq had to win their first AFC title and because it was in the middle of the 2006-2007 civil war and against a neighbor and rival in KSA.

Anyway you guys have had some luck I must say. Had you not won in the dying seconds you would have likely played Japan and likely gone out. Now you are in a bracket with a heavily injury ridden South Korea, China and Uzbekistan and probably a mediocre Iraq team nowadays. Should be an easy route to the final and in a final everything can happen. You waited a long time and although I am no fan of your team or regime I am man enough to congratulate you if yo reach the final despite knowing that most of you hate us Arabs to death, lol. I might force myself to cheer for the Iranian Arabs on the team if there are any. That Jalal Hosseini guy seems like an Iranian Arab to me.

Jalal Hosseini is from northern Gilan province so I doubt it. I dont know of any Iranian Arab players on our team. But then again we dont keep track of race because no on refers to themselves as Arab, Persian etc, but we are all just Iranian. ;)

South Korea is star packed team which will be hard to beat as always. And we have 3 consecutive wins against them (2 in WCQ and one in a friendly match last year) so you can be sure they will be looking for some revenge.
Assuming they win over Uzbekistan, which is not exactly a walk over team as you very well know.
And first Iran has to get past Iraq, which is not either a push over. Iran-Iraq will be a tight match.

Excellent 2-0 win by Iraq over Palestine. The favorites Japan on the other hand defeated Jordan as expected. 2-0 was the end result. Although Younis scored then he seems way past it as I wrote earlier. Still his experience and physical strength in the box might come handy. Still the best goalscorer that Iraq has.

So it will be Iraq against the Mullah's ( :D ) in the quarterfinals. A big rivalry between two historic rivals. Let's all hope that it will have the same outcome as the Battle of al-Qadisiyyah, lol.:coffee:

Time for some celebration;

:lol:

Highlights from the two games;
