Reincarnation is just one of many concepts in Dharmic faiths but dharma doesn't mean reincarnation. And some Chinese or native American faiths having concepts of reincarnation neither makes them dharmic nor does it mean dharma is Chinese or American in origin.

And I'm well aware that "Kandahar" derives from "Gandhara". Modern Kandahar was part of Gandhara culture but its geographical location is not same as that of iron age mahajanapad of Gandhara. That's what I mentioned if you read it properly. Mahajanapad of Gandhara was smaller than the map you mentioned. I always get my facts straight.

Afghanistan did not exist at the time of Padmasambhava lived, but Bharatavarsha did.

Gandhara existed under hindu shahis .Its believed Padmasambhava was a prince then .Ultimately he left ,now there is where the controversy arises. Was it his decision ?

Plus there are writings that indicate that Padmasambhava lived a 1000 years or more and was present in Ashoka's time.

Third Gandhara ruled kandahar under the Buddhist Kushans. Enough said.

Plus there are writings that indicate that Padmasambhava lived a 1000 years or more .

Sorry ,but mythology is one thing I am skeptical about. Too much distortion in indian scriptures of mahabharat and the gandharins and la la .

Some of the tibetan books claim Padmasambhava lived for 3,600 years. That might be a big claim.But if even half of what is mahabharat and Ramayana is true ,then this is true too.
