Yesterday, a private visit by an important Israeli military delegation to Morocco ended, during which they met several Moroccan military officials. The visit lasted for four days.
The Israeli military delegation included:
General Gilad Biran, commander of the air defense unit of the Israeli Air Force
Colonel Kobi Regev, Director of the Israel Air Defense School
Brigadier General Yuval Jaz, commander of the Paratroopers Brigade of the Israeli infantry
Major General Lior Carmeli, Head of the Information and Counter Communications Technology Department of the IDF Staff.
The Israeli delegation visited several Moroccan military sites and discussed with Moroccan officials ways to develop joint relations, military coordination and exchange of experiences and training between the two countries. The Israeli delegation also visited the Artillery Training School in Fez and the headquarters of the 21st and 18th Artillery Regiments
On the Moroccan side, General Abdel Salam El Kedali chaired the meetings and was accompanied by several Moroccan military leaders.
The visit was a starting point to prepare for the visit of the Israeli Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff to Morocco, which will be after the formation of the Moroccan government.
Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, announced that Israeli defense and finance officials would pay an official visit to Rabat. During the visit, according to Hebrew sources, the establishment of a group of military factories in Morocco will be signed, within the framework of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
The Spanish newspaper, La Razon, which is close to the military circles in Madrid, reported the existence of a military cooperation scheme between Morocco and Israel that concerns the military industry, especially drones.
Since the resumption of relations between Morocco and Israel under the Ibrahim Agreements under the supervision of the United States, there are projects between the two countries that concern sectors such as tourism and agriculture, as well as Internet security and the military industry.
And the newspaper Larathon confirms in its weekend edition that there is an agreement between the two countries under which Israel will help Morocco produce unmanned aircraft, including those small planes called “suicide bombers” that aim to hit the target and explode.
The Spanish newspapers began to question the capabilities of the Spanish forces, and that Morocco had become a thousand accounts in the ground forces, which are comparable to those of European countries, and that they have become superior to Spain with the help of the main ally, the United States of America.
