Anti Hindi storm brewing in Tamilnadu

By the way 41% people speak Hindi in India. So it can be made as National language.

Actually I meant , is there anything like a Christian RSS ??
Not sure....heard about some Christian militant outfits of N.E India...
Christians are interested only in thattippu and vettippu activities.....

Isn't Hindi, India's national language?

No. We do not have a national language, we have 22 official languages. However, Hindi & English are they official languages of the Union Govt. (not the entire country or State Govts.).

Yes it is a big issue. so what ? as i have said it is spoken by 41% people. And it is understood by 70% people. so easily it can be made as national language.

read constituinal assembly debate for answer...
hindi is more in northan belt..
jsut becuase one LARGE part use it does not give it NATIONAL LANAGUGE status..
its shoudl be ACCEPTED by ALL then it can be ..

What is wrong with the present set-up, aren't we united enough?
I can not see any kind of unity, strictly speaking. But I should say it should not be imposed that people must learn Hindi.

And it can't be made easily, all the 28 states have to agree as per the constitution.

I know. That is why I said it should not be imposed. This language is understood by 70 % people in India.

Here state means Netas. There should be a public poll. Lets see how many support it and how many reject it.

It cannot be imposed. And we have more than enough unity which is reflected in PDF also. Their are many countries who speak one language but barely as united as we are, you can see for yourself. Nationalism doesn't necessarily come from language, especially in a diverse country like India.

No, not netas, State governments.

That is selective unity, unity against Pakistan and China. All of us have a inherent hate towards each other. I have faced it in Ooty.
