He wants to remove Vote Bank Politics especially on religion and you want State to endorse religion. Its a dangerous thing to do. Look at our neighbor.

He can make Development as basis for future elections in India. If BJP wins on Development issue, it will make other parties to follow the suit.

Whats this irrelevant stuff ? Did you listen to his speech at SRCC, Delhi ? Not a single word of vote bank. Only and only forward looking approach, long term strategies. I sincerely hope he means what he said. If I may not exaggerate , the stuff was anything comparable in corporate talks - - growth model. Highly impressed I must say.

I seen the CHANGE right here on the PDF in the last 9-10 months since i have been here, this change is not just limited to PDF alone but is slowly but gradually sweeping into entire India. I had seen many Indian members which were not favorable to Modi earlier are now in open support of him being the next PM, Rahul Gandhi has diminished from there radar & is now a F-22 as far as his RCS is concerned. Similarly according to the ABN news, when they conducted a survey in 2011, only 12% people were in favor of Modi & more were in favor of Rahul but in there Jan-2013 survey 48% people were in favor of Modi, though this is just a survey but this is indeed surprising as making a four-fold rise isn't an easy job. Look at his SRCC speech, he talked about Development & only Development, i liked it b'coz he doesn't enter the usual politics of caste, creed, color, hatred, etc. & answers people only with his developmental work, at the end of his speech entire SRCC was giving him a Standing Ovation, which is simply a rarity in Indian politics of late.....

No wonder, there is this famous saying - "Either you can Hate him or you can Love him, But you can't ignore him"

Congratulations to the CM and hopefully he is able to implement the reform that he has dictated in this platform, though I genuinely hope he goes with development path and it may redeem his public image after the past debacles, from an international perspective its a mix bag for sure but considering the countries's circumstance, I have changed my stance largely due to more deaths occuring from diseases and other calamities then riots in inde, which alot of people solely tend to focus on, when judging him. However he should still keep Human rights in the back of his mind to prevent any further debacles from appearing because the extreme groups and anarchist are always just dieing for that next opportunity for communal tensions, need examples look parti-quebecois aka FLQ saga. I also like the fact that he fielded some minority candidates to appease the minority, which is important to further integration, I am sure in future with close integration peoples background will matter less and less though at this point his appeasement tactic is smart and well calculated. Again I am not an expert , this is just my view as an outsider and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Can you pls explain how?? what exact quality does she have apart from her being a Gandhi (thats actually surprising considering her husband's surname is vadra & she still uses Gandhi, this explains everything)??

I am not in favor of Dynasty politics anymore. And why should we be?? I know they were freedom fighters, i know two famous PM's were martyred but does that mean that they are born to rule India forever??

Take an example, say, I want to enter politics & aspire to become the PM of India, so i have the only option of joining either BJP or Congress, but than in Congress, i can never aspire to become the PM for the simple reason that i am not a Gandhi, whatever hard work i do for the party, my becoming the PM is a near impossibility or even if i become one i will be made another MMS

Thats why i think only BJP is only the truly democratic party in India, where even a tea stall runner can aspire to become the PM of India if he has the capabilities & has shown his credentials with work on ground. Every other party is under an effective hold of one or the other Family. I sometimes get really shocked when i find that there is no relative of AB Vajpayee or Advani in the BJP considering there stature within the party.

If we can't find TRUE LEADERS in the population of 1.2 billion than we should never aspire to become a Superpower anymore.

Maybe I am a Biased person, but this is my opinion.

Personally, I hate Congress. But I am stating this from Congress POV. That's the whole point naa. Presenting POVs of every side even if you hate them.

I am staunch hater of Congress. I consider them the major reason for so many problems in India. From Corruption, To Riots, To Immigrants problem, To Poverty etc.

I am happy that Modi now got all 24 Muslims won in this election which will shut the mouths of people like Diggi Raja who raised that why BJP didn't put a single Muslim Candidate in State Elections.

But I want Modi to introduce more stricter terms in FDI in Retail just like Germany did. We have to find the balance and attract FDI along with saving our local businesses.

It seems the post of PM have become a musical chair game considering that MMS have said he would retire after this term.
SP leader nominated the post of Mulayam, saying only a farmer can lead India well. lol: )
And Mayawati nominated herself saying , India needs a Dalit PM. (An comedy piece).
Sharad Pawar wants to become PM.
And here JJ desires to get PM post, if chances favoures her.

Currently there are no better candidates than Modi. If Advani returns again(less possible though) to stake claims to PM, BJP will lose again. I too wouldnt vote for him. Another better option is Sushma.

Mate, you surely don't understand the intricacies of Indian Politics, the best part of it is that it always SURPRISES

BJP is in opposition, so it has to be seen as an opposition, if it will stand by every move of the govt. than people will ask is it really in opposition??

The same congress which currently is in power was opposing India going nuclear & now when it is in power it signed Indo-US nuke deal (which can tacitly increase our Fissile material stock).

Not only this, Congress was the one which first opposed FDI in retail when infact NDA was trying to introduce with 100% FDI.

In India tables turn but not the Policies, as Policies as you & i think are made by Govt. but instead they are actually made by Bureaucrats & the Govt. is only the final signing authority. So one thing you can be assured of with change of guard, that there will be consistency in POLICY MATTERS.

Meanwhile FDI in retail in India is just to create a positive investive environment. An Swedish Furniture giant recently invested 2.5B in India recently. So FDI in retail is not completely Wal Mart alone. And u know that.
