Would be interesting to know that if it is true, which agency leaked it. And within the agency who exactly was involved.

This is not a call. It is an open mic situation at a meeting with the PM. It is not a phone call.
Most likely this call was leaked by Intel to begin with to cause embarrassment and rightfully so. Shows exactly how the Shareef clan works.
Remember Intel and Military is not on the same page regarding the last few months. PTI and IK has more internal mil support than people realize. It is the discipline within the Mil and Voldermort and his cohorts that has enabled such a situation.

I know I can - thanks for acknowledging that.
Anyplace the PM resides or attends a meeting is generally "sweeped" clean. All audio is also controlled and his sec (MIl + NRTC) work closely to handle any and all of such issues. You can hear from the conversation it is likely in a room. Shahbaz is closer to the mic the other person is further away. I think you even sometimes get a classic mic ruffle.
Now there is another possibility which I wont put above the wiley Shabaaz. That he did this to preempt NS/Maryum. If he was under pressure to approve this by her, this is the best way to get pressure off himself. He looks good in the process, while also avoids the angst an outright rejection would engender from her and her father (but chances of this are low).

But then again the above is speculation.

The mil agencies don't stand to gain anything from this. These days, even though both aren't on the same page, but the mil does want to get this government working by dhakka start...and this would just be a hindrance.

Hence my previous comment, that it would be interesting to know that if the leak originated from the mil, then who exactly was involved...because as you say, there is a split. But the possibility of some 2 star going rogue on the advice of a 3 star and taping a PM, tooooo far fetched IMO.

Hence either it is fake, or it might even be by SS himself.
