Another Female Pilot Gears up for Combat

. .
The Female pilot is said to be serving in PAF No-18 ''SharpShooters'' Squadron.

@Windjammer bro I can't view the picture you attached , it also happens with some other posters pics , why does it happen . Can you help or tell why is it like that .

. . . .
That's the sad part. They go through all this struggle and stress to match their male colleagues, pass FCU and some even OCU and at the end they are transferred to slow flying or mostly grounded.
Their physical fitness doesn't last long enough for a career in fighters. And sad to say, PAF does not have any female counseling yet for its pilots. Once that comes in I can guarantee women will even start reaching F-16s.

Bro please check again...doesnt look open to me

I just checked. Squadron 18 only flies F-7PG.

She will be moved to non combat fighter squadron soon.
In the presence of highly capable male pilots around, the scope of female fighter pilots is very limited.

If they passed the same course and training, I think they are equally as capable as their male counterparts. I would like to see them flying JF-17 soon as they replace the F-7s.

Nevertheless, kudos.

More participation is needed.

Had some family that want to join via SPSSC for engg branch after doing engg degree from civ unis.

However, the recent ads only allow civilian male grads to join Engg branch (after shorter training). The ads that I saw only allowed females to join via the longer route (via aeronautical engg course).

She will now try the PAC or strategic org route for civilian jobs.

Its rather unfortunate - if that is true.

There are female pilots in the USAF that are part of the Aggressor Squadron at Red Flag. I fail to understand how our female Pilots are less capable than the males.

If they've passed the course, they should be put on the JF-17B after doing their hours on the F-7.

No they don't. PAF spend its sources on pilots to serve for decades while sitting in cockpit. These females have very little combat lives. Usually after marriage and giving birth to a child, their fitness standards falls to the point where they can only serve in transport aircrafts. Overall, this results in major loss of sources as far as total outcome is concerned.

They may allow them in name of Feminism. There was a huge arguments about Transgenders for army thou

BTW our neighbours have female combat pilots too

Sure the squadron may fly them but the metal bar above her helmet. That's not from a f7pg canopy. Am I wrong?

None of PAF jets have such a metal bar above in the canopy. The canopy is open.
