Whenever there's an announcement there goes an alert to every member, so the members react accordingly and remain updated.

I think Webby does issue such alerts. I have received them in the past

BTW is there a way to discard a post? I mean you feel like posting then you change your mind but the post still gets saved as a draft. When you revisit the thread your draft post is already there. Is there a way to remove it other than making that post and then deleting it?

I've never received any alert.
