If anyone ever attacks Turkey (which I don't see happening) it definitely won't be Iran but rather Israel and/or some of our precious NATO "allies".

Negative Israel has no reason to attack turkey or no gain. NATO countries attacking each other again would be pointless.


But the point of the matter is we need to keep on alert. If we don't keep a high state of readiness at all times we have a risk of being caught off guard then trying to figure out what happened. We also need to speed up the downsizing of our army.

You know that Iran is a country of minorities, in other words, it's society ois a mosaic of ethncities, with no huge majority ethnic group - among these ethnic groups, these minorites, the largest groups is composed of.......Turks

I don't think I am naive about the Iranian regime.

But I understand the political and geostrateic compulsions of allliance - at present the alliance may serve the interests of Turkiye, but I think you will agree that should the economic vibrancy continue, over a period of 10 to 15 years, I do wonder whether you will see merit in a alliance in which you can die for your partners but not have a seat at the table -- The Serb will soon be a EU member and yet Turkiye must pay in blood sacrifice and then pay more and more and maybe, possibly the overlords will discuss the conditions of membership, not with Turkiye but among themselves.

We wish for Turkiye the best.

We must be cautious and act fast when the time comes. We need to stop acting like everyone is amazingly now our friend just because we took them off some list. Only time will tell what Iran's intentions with this whole nuclear deal is going.

Sorry, but that is not how you reach peaceful coexistance.

Turkey is part of NATO and you know what that means, if Iran as much as sneezes in Turkeys general direction the US will be there. Not out of love or concern, but because of an opportunity to start another war, but that's just my opinion.

I agree that not everything should be taken on face value, but on the other hand you can't say it's either black or white, because that's not how the west thinks. They want Turkey to think like that, while they apply all the grey colours against turkey in their politics.
