the news reader said "a pair of farmers"... and your question is correct... it must cost a lot to buy off so many snakes from snake charmers.

but they wanted to make a statement and they made one !!

one or two people in the vid were wearing the typical maharashtrian dress of white gandhi cap, white tunic and white dhoti... i didn't know bribes were part of the farmers' problems in that state.
