What's new

An interesting incident from Indo-Pak war 1965

The world's longest epic literature was also composed in the Gangetic plains

There's one in Gilgit Baltistan that's literally the longest in the world. Also, Shahnamah e Islam by Jalandhari is VERY long.

and the oldest cities in
south Asia are in the Gangetic Plains

I thought Harappa and Mohenjo Daro were the oldest cities in the region?

) The most powerful empires in South Asian history originated in Bihar

I really don't think any dynasty/empire indigenous to India can surpass the might of the Ghiliji Pashtuns.

But yeah the Indus has some great civilizational achievements as well. I was mostly just counter-trolling when I said that lolyou should know that by now.

Anytime pretty much anyone brings out the supremacist vitriol it's just a "lol no u" post. I really don't think most people here actually feel that way.

I tried explaining that, but he did not want to listen.

Shut up, you're just jealous of Jinnah Al Aryan:

No it hasn't been, people just keep denying it without giving any good reason because it doesn't suit their agenda.
Yeah, I remember. I should accept whatever BS you spew without any corroboration as fact. I asked simple evidence for your claim and it should be irrefutable, not someone's assumption. You failed at it.

Ethnicity matters more than geography, and I'm sure you know just how much of the sub-continent the Ghiliji Pashtuns ruled over.
LOL! Don't shift goalpost now. I'm talking about geography, but that Pakistan is sitting as an entrance to the subcontinent. Due to constant invasion there wasn't any powerful Kingdoms like say, Mauryas, Guptas or Sultanates, Mughals etc... who maintained their capital in todays pakistan while ruling over the subcontinent.

Do you need help reading?
Looks like you need it "The family’s ancestors were Arab mercenaries who migrated to India as they saw employment prospects under various kings, especially the Mughals." so yeah. The Punjabi claim falls flat. Tipu could easily claim he was Arab.

I meant living. Varanasi is the oldest currently inhabited City in South Asia. Patilaputra and Prayagraj come close. Peshawar is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Pakistan.

Interesting about the GB epic literature, wasn't aware of that.

Cope.

LOL! Don't shift goalpost now.

I literally ALWAYS made it about ethnicity/lineage, geography means jack all.

Due to constant invasion there wasn't any powerful Kingdoms like say

I named multiple, but you're still denying it. This is just stupid.

Looks like you need it "The family’s ancestors were Arab mercenaries who migrated to India as they saw employment prospects under various kings, especially the Mughals." so yeah. The Punjabi claim falls flat.

They CLAIMED Arab ancestry, but they still came from the Punjab.

Bull!! then why quote me on my claim which is based on geography. Because it is what matters the most when it comes to strategy. Rather than some mixed ethnicity.

I named multiple, but your still denying it. This is just stupid.
Rather you don't read what I type and quote words or incomplete sentence to prove you're right.

hey CLAIMED Arab ancestry, but they still came from the Punjab.
Tipu was a South Indian. He is of Arab origin (as per your source). Not Punjabi, you should read your source again. Don't edit things which doesn't suit your agenda.

1948 clashes between India and Pakistan didn't change geography much. Unless you call Hari Singh an Indian before accession. Both the 1971 and 1965 were a full fledged war involving all three branches of Military.

Pakistan came to take over Kashmir. Instead, ended up defended Lahore from Indian accession.

IA took control of Siachin Glacier which was left as no mans land and nobody cared to capture the peak.

Another attempt to take over Kashmir, squashed. Army regulars dressed as Muj fighters.

Indian parliament came under attack from Pak sponsored cartoons. India reacted by building military.

Another terror attack, and India losing a pilot, a jet and helicopter over the whole drama.

Wallahi. A people are not defined by the strip of dirt they inhabit, rather, they are defined by their culture/lineage. That is what I identify with.

Tipu was a South Indian. He is of Arab origin (as per your source).

He was of Punjabi origin that CLAIMED to be Syed.

He comes with claims without corroborations.

When I provide sources, they get ignored so I often just don't provide them anymore. If you care so much, you can fact check what I say for yourself, I do not lie.

It's quite clear you're just out of your depth since you've never even heard of the Epic of Gesar.

Nonsense.

I said, there wasn't any powerful empire that ruled at least half of Subcontinent which was centered around today's Pakistan. Given historically that region was weak link in subcontinent subject to constant invasion throughout history.

Now where ethnicity comes here?

He was of Punjabi origin that CLAIMED to be Syed
If your source is true, they are Arabs who reached Punjab in search for Job under Mughals.

When I provide sources, they get ignored so I often just don't provide them anymore. If you care so much, you can fact check what I say for yourself, I do not lie.

You're the one who claimed it's the longest written epic in the world. You should prove it with facts.

You were trying to take a jab at Pakistanis, that's where ethnicity comes in. If not, I apologise for the miscommunication. You're still wrong though, and I've explained why.

If your source is true

Do you accept the claim of every Syed at face value?

You're the one who claimed it's the longest written epic in the world.

Because it is, and this is well known. I didn't think something so basic would require a source, but since you seem like you won't ignore it this time:

In fact you're wrong. I am yet to read a powerful empire that ruled over the subcontinent with regions in today's Pakistan as it's capital. I'm not taking a jab at Pakistan. All these happened before partition. So according to me, those are individual stories. Your geography is what made you, you.

Do you accept the claim of every Syed at face value?
Do you? Your idea of ethnicity follows a traditional pattern. It is that comes from father, there is no science in it, such that it'll be a mixed ethnicity in todays sense.

As for his Arab ancestry, the claims made in your link is clear because your source is simply an oral story. There are not more than one source that could corroborate it. If he was a Punjabi or Syed. How can you be sure he is not an Arab?

I. Named. Multiple.

No, it's based on lineage AND culture, and not just the lineage of your paternal side (although that is typically what people identify with).

How can you be sure he is not an Arab?

Have you seen his portraits lol?

It doesn't work that way dear. If I was subjugated by some invaders I don't claim I am the invader at a later date. Say, if I was invaded by Mughal, I will not claim I'm a Mughal because my ancestor converted or enslaved by them.

Also, like I have always said Pakistan was the weak link in the subcontinent. It fell at the moment of an outside invasion and given it was mostly desert land and poor, not many Kingdoms from the east tried to conquer them. All those invaders from the west and Central Asia were aiming for todays India. You just happen to be in the middle of it.

Like the @PAKISTANFOREVER guy banks on Irrefutable evidence, I'm gonna need that over Vedic Hinduism starting and spreading through warfare. If not it didn't happen. Besides this is outside scope of our discussion of topic, quote me else where for the topic.

As ever, NO evidence to back up ANYTHING you say.

Mods please take note, this guy is posting loads of anti-Pakistani propaganda WITHOUT a single shread of evidence.
