I don't follow politics in Karachi very closely, but can our friends from Karachi shed some light on this.

Does Amir Liaquat has a following in Karachi? Is he strong enough in his home constituency to win the election even as an Independent? Would appreciate a close follower of Karachi's politics shed some light on this.

I am from Karachi, but i am only limited to NA-250. PTI is strong in NA-250. As for this guy, i don't think many people like him also he did win once on MQM ticket but then anyone can win on an MQM ticket in Karachi and Hyderabad.

Maybe someone else would have a better understanding of the ground realities than me.

I'm also from NA-250 and it is a PTI stronghold, but not sure which constituency Liaquat won from and if he has any major support but you are right there was a time even if a dog ran elections on MQM ticket it would win.

Maybe @PaklovesTurkiye can but he isn't very active these days.

I'm from Karachi, and believe me this guy has no support there; in fact, most people dislike him.

Had he rejoined MQM or joined any other party it wouldn't have mattered. But as you may have realised - people expect better from PTI! Even me, someone that dislikes PTI, actually expects better from them and it gets to me that they are not what they pretend to be :hitwall:
