Russia and Chinese alliance is unnatural. Once the western sanctions are lifted, the rapprochement between west and Russia will be inevitable.

Central Asia is both Russia and China's backyard. Rather than claiming the whole region for themselves however they intelligently seem to have opted for the cooperation method. In contrast E. Europe which is also Russia's neighbourhood has been under constant diplomatic onslaught from NATO since the early 90s. Georgia and Ukraine were the last nail in the coffin so to speak. NATO is highly unlikely to get out of traditional Russian areas of influence (Baltic, Black Sea) any time soon, so Russia-NATO tensions aren't going away any time soon.

That depends on your definition of comparable.

China GDP in 2005 = 1.7 Trillion $
China GDP in 2006 = 2.0 Trillion $

India GPD in 2016 = 2.25 Trillion $

A gap of 9 years is not that great, especially since Indian economic growth is increasing while chinese economic growth is decreasing.

Militarily the gap is smaller still due to higher QUALITY of Indian equipment's as compared to Chinese equipment's.

Rest is all classic chinese propaganda designed to keep the illusion among the ignorant.


Russian GDP is actually HALF of that of India, its only 1.2 Trillion $.


I suggest you look beyond the propaganda and stick to RELEVANT Facts and then suddenly the lies will fall away and you can restore your self esteem.

You can compare the two further back in the 60s when India's GDP was bigger than China's. Now China's economy is 5 times of India's and is still expanding fast, you will only be left behind further cause you can never have we Chinese efficiency and work ethnics.

9 years ago Beijing hosted the most splendid Olympic games, When India gets those first class facilities to have one? If the gap is only 9 years then India needs to build the longest highway, railway,subway,HSR systems in the world, the best and biggest airports ,sea ports,bridges, tunnels, skyscrapers, super computers ...in the world, Send people to the space and build space stations., become the world's main producer and consumer of almost all major materials, dominate the world market in almost everything. 9 year can go really fast, it seems that you have a lot of work to do in the next 9 years and you better hurry up.

Let's see in 9 years will you stop paying dearly to buy foreign weapons and learn to build them yourselves.

I also agree that the world has 3 powers now, Russia's economy is no in a good shape but it has formidable military prowess, Russia is still a undisputable world power that no countries can afford to ignore. UK , Germany and Japan are developed countries but due to the size of their land and population,their overall national strengths are still far behind those 3 world powers.


We are not in the same league . Only Indians think they are on this planet.

You should be Building many more megacities so that the distance between India & China isn't measured in decades but in light years.

On a serious note , while I do understand my compatriot's insouciance & eagerness to measure up to PRC's achievenetns in equal measure , I feel it's understandable because it's aspirational .Indirectly , it's also acknowledgement & a trubute to PRC's achievements that a nation which a few decades ago was in the same boat as us has sky rocketed ahead.

But why do I see every Chinese poster comparing themselves to India & gloating about their achievements .Frankly , this would be like Pakistani comparing itself to Somalia or South Sudan & claiming that while we're a failed state we aren't as bad as you .

Evidently all that progress hasn't changed your mindset .You wish to take on the west & frame a global order to your rules & benefit but deep down you lack the confidence .You know you're far from reaching that goal , if you ever get within sniffing distance of it .Hence , you keep benchmarking yourself against inferior rivals to feel good about it.Not a good sign for a super power in the making .Not at all.
