I think the logical divide has only been accentuated by the events over the decades. They do not share the same strategies and cannot.

Russia and China being in the same geographical region share more common points that will bind them together until the point where one of the two starts thinking other as a hindrance in its path to supremacy. By logic there could only be a single super power. Till then, happy days for Russia and China. US will try all it can to use India as a counter balance but India does not belong to that league yet. So, US will find it increasingly difficult to balance off the joint Russian-Chinese weight. And hence it will contribute to regions instability as its best bet. Watch out everyone.

You can compare the two further back in the 60s when India's GDP was bigger than China's. Now China's economy is 5 times of India's and is still expanding fast, you will only be left behind further cause you can never have we Chinese efficiency and work ethnics.

It is sad that one is falling behind, but it is hopeless if one doesn't even have a clue why he is falling behind.

US did not foolishly driven Russia to China. US is all about sole superpower and rest are just need to follow the US.

With this kind of mentality, US and Russia working together is impossible. The evil will crumble one day and US are showing all kinds of crack.

Russia and Chinese alliance is unnatural. Once the western sanctions are lifted, the rapprochement between west and Russia will be inevitable.

Of the trio, US is the strongest, and for Russia to ally itself with the US might yield short term gains, but long term wise, it would only spell disaster as Russia knows if US is to subdue China, it will be the next target; and on its own, it stand little chance. Russian are not fools, and the power equation between the three major powers depend on their relative strength more than anything else.
