Amazing strike kills 25 Militants.

Amazing violation of our sovereignty.
Pakistan has been complaining that their sovereignty is being violated by US forces, but they have been unable to exercise effective control over those regions. In my opinion, if they are unable or unwilling to do anything about the problems there, we should. If they cannot properly exercise sovereignty over these regions, they're in no position to complain about it being violated.

Unfortunately the Drone strikes are occurring with the full connivance and knowledge of Pakistani Government and the Army. Testimony in the US Congress indicates that they may be operating from Pakistani bases, which is an alarming indication of the extent to which Pakistan’s sovereignty has been compromised.

Loss of 25, or even 2500 lives only strengthens the spirit and resolve of the brave hearts fighting for independence against very powerful adversaries with rather minimal resources. Their sacrifice is a beacon of strength and a vision for the general population who have been passive observers to such atrocities.

The American drone strike strategy rests on a narrow perch; backed by just a few corrupted Political and Military leaders. These leaders are about as irrelevant to the ground realities as the ARVN leadership before the Fall of Saigon in 1975.

Its just a matter of time.

Dear ksxyboy

Please pose the same question to a Naxalite, ULFA or Kashmiri leader; and he will tell you that he has 100% respects for the Sovereignty of the host country (India in this case).

Taliban do fully respect the Sovereignty of the State of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. They just don’t recognize the writ of the GOVERNMENT that has sold its OWN SOVERIGNTY to the Almighty USA.

Dear TruthSeeker

“”The news reports for almost all of the drone strikes say that the struck area is IMMEDIATELY cordoned off and controlled by the local Taleban forces. NOT the GoP!””

What is so strange about this? Pashtun areas in Eastern Afghanistan and Pakistan are governed through tribal customs and the central government has little sway over the ground realities.

For example, Afghanistan is under US control governed by a friendly Karzai government. You as an American practically own the whole country. Just as an experiment please drive unescorted to Sarobi town about 50 kms from Kabul’s outskirts; have a lunch and come back. Share the story here with us on the forum. By the way that the most peaceful zone right on the Kabul – Jalalabad highway.

If your experiment is successful then you may be justified to talk about GoP control.
