Maliki confirmed that Tehran and Hezbollah supply the Houthis with weapons, experts and technology.

A spokesman for the Arab Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen, Colonel Turki al-Maliki, said on Sunday, the launch of a ballistic missile against Saudi Arabia is a hostile action, pointing out that the serious escalation of the Houthis came because of Iranian support.

This came during a press conference, in which he presented the evidence in pictures of the Iranian support for the Houthi rebels in Yemen, as he confirmed that Tehran and Hezbollah provide the Houthis with experts and technology.

He added that Iran supplied the Houthis with surface-to-surface missiles and ballistic missiles, explaining that the missile launchers used by the Houthis came from Iran, and that Tehran supported the rebels with drones.

The spokesman for the Arab Alliance for the support of legitimacy in Yemen also said that the launch of a ballistic missile on Riyadh is a barbaric action from the Houthi group and those backing them, noting that "had it not been for the support of the Iranian regime for the Houthis, they have not been able to target Riyadh," stressing that the Houthi missiles were not in the arsenal of the Yemeni army.

Maliki pointed out that Iranian experts have delivered ballistic capabilities to Saada, asserting that the aviation targeted sites that hide and launch ballistic missiles in Saada.

Maliki said that the Houthis with Iranian support threaten maritime navigation by booby-trapped boats, adding: "We have seized a number of booby-trapped boats to target navigation."
The spokesman of the Arab Alliance said that the smuggling of Iranian weapons to the Houthis is through Hodeidah, stressing that the missiles are smuggled to Yemen as separate pieces and then assembled.

Maliki also confirmed that Hezbollah is smuggling weapons from Lebanon to Syria and then to Iran and Yemen. He said the Houthis had planted about 50,000 mines on the border with Saudi Arabia.

Maliki said that a list of 40 wanted Houthi leaders would be announced.
