Why did India not help India? Why did India allow the plane to take off from Amritsar? India didn't ask for Pakistan's help and neither was Pakistan going to risk the lives of foreign nationals by conducting a commando operation without India's formal request.

well why did the plane take of from amritsar is our mistake and we will have to live with it and answer comments like the one you have made.

but after this mistake was made a request was made but the pak govt refused and even did not allow overflight facility for our commandos.

please dont get offended but this is my greivance as a common indian.

How could you have landed and launched an operation by your commandos when Taliban had the plane encircled.

Do you think, the Taliban would have allowed such an operation to happen ????

The purpose of the hijacking was to release 3 terrorists - Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh (who was later arrested for the murder of Daniel Pearl) and Maulana Masood Azhar (who later founded Jaish-e-Mohammed).

They were / are in pakistan - pakistan could atleast extradite those militants back to india.

Not gonna happen my friend. None of these will ever be caught alive outside of Pakistan. They just know too much and can cause a lot of embarrasment..

1. How can media change the general public opinion and what examples do we have to date (for this, I gave you people a famous example of hot terrorism phenomenon).
2. What type of media is effecting more than others, how and why…..?????
3. What is the need to change our opinion when the truth is out there.
4. And last, but not least…..is this a deliberate attempt or not.

And you guys here are discussing why Pakistan did this and why doing that, my statistics are old, why I mentioned this incident and not that one and things like that.……!!!!.........

I am sure if you people will restrict yourself to these four point than ultimately you will stick to the topic.

Media talks in present tense or "slight" past tense.
Far past is left to history books and visited primarily by researchers.
( you didn't name Ghinges Khan- a Buddhist , in the list )
Your list starts from 1930-40s.
But If you make the list of terrorist activities 1990 onwards( the time media became vocal) ...you get the picture of the caption, that is widely believed world over.

They really came into limelight after the Kandhar episode and their earlier years dont even hold a candle to what they have done since that event. Hence the comment

What we are dealing with today are governed by terrorism backed by religion, hense "Islamic fundamentalist" is the correct political term used today, and other terrorist ideology (past or present) of controlling areas are in micro level. Therefore, mass marketing for chosen ones goes on daily for recruitments, and to apply them for soft targets for there war/ideology/domination.

No matter how an argument is put, but this is paradigm shift in terrorism, where one pivotal aspect is put into play, that is religion.

Therefore, I come back to current issue at hand, that all Muslims should be given regiment of security check (Airports, security check, etc..). By the way, The only solution to this problem is muslims themselves. If they cannot control there chosen ones then nobody in the world can.
