most saudis can't even read or write in anything other than arabic, and their average math and science education is that of a 4th grade kid in the west. and they consider that as being literate. who makes these maps

besides algeria isn't looking for alif beh.. its called education expertise. saudis are a big zero.

turkey is head and shoulders over saudia, if algeria wanted to keep it in the muslim world. iran is even better when it comes to science or mathematics or engineering. :smart:

Eeh? Are you an anti-VVahabi too?
Anyway, enjoy being a typical user. You just make sure you won't come again.

Algeria has to start developing it's education system as they can afford it right now before their oil get depleted, millions of Algerians are illiterates especially Berbers in the South of the country, where extremism and terrorism among them is in rise.
Litteracy is over 90% asshole, even the map that you posted shows that. You blabber over things that you don't even now. How do the Saoudis can help us improve education in our universities when the cursus is taught in French? You are one stupid freak. This is not Algeria at dawn of the French departure where litteracy was next to zero! We still provide free education and free health care.
And a little info for your tiny head, our OIl reserves are beyond being depleted since discoveries are made almost monthly and we still have 3/4 the country inexplored! Yakhi zbel, yakhi!

Very rude. Go and Google it.
Rude? Show me..It does not make a little bit of sense since higher education is taught in French. And the the Algerian guy with your minister is the head of the higher education and research.

For military exercise, it never happened. The only talks that were known was with UAE and that fell because their involvement in Libya.

It seems your own Minister agrees with what we have been saying here Celyal. And yes we will help you, you are welcome.

A courtesy visit doesn't mean a hell of beans...Really why do we need your expertise when you have none. The talented Saoudis are laboring elsewere, just like ours. Beside, like I told both of your friends, higher education and reasearch is taught in French...not in Arabic.

I can foresee a bright future for Algeria ,if they continued to develop their infrastructure.

Khalifa, our future is already bright despite the ills you caused us and the blood you made us spill , the last one as recent as 3 months ago. Don't take it wrong because of my replies, I have nothing against Saoudis and you can't help what your government has done to us.

lets not all forget, who teaches in Saudi "Arabia" its the Egyptians, Algerians, Syrians, Jordanians, and others from the west...

@Bubblegum Crisis
Why is that mate? :/
He can't help it..sheer ignorance...What he posted is true, Algerian universities quality of education has sufferred under the presidency of Chadli by mandating arabic teaching, followed by the rise of imported radical Islam. These two events set us back twenty years notwithstanding the destroyed schools and the forced migration of our elite that are making the best days of French, american, canadian universities and hospitals.

Because they produce absolutely nothing. Nothing…

In 2013. Too late.

98 percent of their economy is based exclusively revenues from oil and gas. They import all and everything is subsidized. Bread to sugar, milk, potato etc. ... Absolutely all goods current consumption.

And the worst happen when between 2025 and 2030, they will have absolutely exhausted all their oil reserves. At that time, they will become also a net oil importer for their own domestic needs with a population which will be, the low word, 55 million people in 2050. Just with the only gas revenues. Just impossible.

Sorry to bust your bubble...Don't worry about Algeria. We know how to manage, we survived against impossible odds and in 2030 we will be more likely 70-100mm. I hope that you will be among the living by that time, and that you will see that among the 22 counties that make up the arab league, that Algeria will be the only one that aged gracefully.

No talented Saudis are laboring elsewhere they are studying correct, and what the hell do you take us for? Higher education and research is done in English here, a more common language than French. And obviously YOUR higher education minister seeks our help for a reason.

Talking to you made me realize why your minister is seeking our help.

Algeria wants advice from the Kingdom on how to develop its higher education sector, particularly science and technology institutions and its scholarship program.

This is one of the objectives of a high-level delegation led by Algerian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR) Rachid Harraoubia that visited the Kingdom recently. He arrived here last week with a large contingent from the ministry to participate in the International Higher Education Conference that ended here recently.

Harraoubia told Arab News he visited a number of higher education institutions including King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and King Saud University.

“We want to keep a close eye on the Saudi experiment in the development of higher education with regard to performance measurements and scholarship experience, which are the characteristic features of its educational policy,” he said.

The minister was speaking at a reception on Thursday attended by Minister of Higher Education Khalid Al-Anqari, who had invited his Algerian counterpart. “This reflects the nature of the fraternal relations between the two countries,” Harraoubia said.

According to the Algerian ambassador in Riyadh, Abdelouahab Derbal, this was Harraoubia’s first visit to promote relations between the two countries. Derbal said Algeria is seeking partnership between universities and research centers with an exchange of experts and researchers, particularly in renewable energy and agriculture.

Algeria also wants to reach an agreement for the children of the two countries’ diplomats to register at local universities. The countries have agreed on a twinning project between King Saud University and leading universities in Algeria, and between Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and the University of Emir Abdelkader in Constantine.

Saudi Arabia has developed many good universities and is making more but what is university. of emir abdelbakar ?

Algeria didn't need specifically KSA to help them. It is an help among many but it is important to keep the local culture/faith/way.

Living in France i see more and more French politics turning to consider Algeria much better and stop with the right wing policy of "we'll never be sorry". We can read as well USA have a good opinion and surely would invest more in Algeria.
I am sure many other countries wish to invest in Algeria... compared to Tunisia or Morocco... their tourism i snot developped they are not dependant for only tourism (Morocco and Tunisia are over dependant on Tourism). Every smart guy here understand Algeria is the best country in North Africa to invest in.

As well, seen the documentaries and photos, i am impressed by beauty of lands there ... and of course their tourism can be a good business too.
