Alert: Train Derailment (developing)

Simply Criminal Negligence on Pakistan Railways part!!

Why is safety still non-existent? Outside Pakistan, right from childhood it is drilled into our heads "Safety First"!

It is disheartening to see human life is so cheap in my most beloved land.

My prayers for those who lost their lives.

Good wishes to the injured for a rapid recovery.

Rip to everyone who has passed away and condolences to their families.

ive seen this happen too many times in Pakistan, needs to be resolved asap, how many more lives will be lost in the future because of these types of incidents.

Uhh narrow gauge?
We're on an operational broad-gauge same as India, very different from the rest of the world.
The Sindh ML1 is very well maintained in terms of operational health.

This is because we haven't automated the signaling system and rely on humans that rely on radio calls to change/stop the tracks on loop-lines.

yes, Automation is very important.

Who is in charge of the signaling system for the railroads. These kinds of preventable incidents keep happening without any solutions being implemented or seemlingly any accountability.

The dispatchers and engineer (driver) need to be sequestered and interviewed ASAP to figure out how this happened. Even if weather was a factor, there needs to be a way to stop an oncoming train if an earlier train has derailed onto the tracks.

What if derailment is an act of sabotage, knowing well that other train will run into it.

All the more reason these trains need to be continuously monitored throughout the journey as well as patrols along the tracks to look for any anomalies.

Upgrade lines and install sensors. No needs for patrols. Even busses in US have inside out cameras.
